La piazza Unità d'Italia sembra una classica piazza storica, come possono essercene in altre località italiane. se si conosce un minimo di storia patria, questa piazza davvero ampia, rappresenta alcune tappe della nostra storia contemporanea. il fatto che la rende affascinante è la sua posizione direttamente sul mare. bella di giorno, fantastica di sera. da vedere.

We really enjoyed walking around the town, this is a big square very close to the Cruise ship terminal, right in downtown where you can find a lot of sourvenirs, shops, restaurants, Coffee shops and more.

Beh che dire, una grande piazza proprio di fronte al mare! E fatta ad U rovesciata, con molti palazzi come contorno...davvero signorile! Merita sicuramente la visita.

Il cuore di Trieste , citta' mitteleuropea dall' aspetto austero . Si respira ancora il passato asburgico in una piazza con davanti il mare che lieve sbatte a pochi metri dalla piazza medesima

We enjoyed having a Spritz every afternoon while admiring the lovely architecture of the piazza and people watching. There were temporary exhibits set up in tents which detracted a little bit from the experience but every visitor to Trieste has to visit the piazza at least once.

Una delle piazze più ampie e signorile che abbia visto in Italia. Il merito è dei bellissimi palazzi (il municipio di Trieste, il palazzo della Giunta regionale del Friuli Venezia Giulia e la prefettura) che la circondano .

C’est le cœur de Trieste, on ne peut pas ne pas y aller. Assez vaste, ouverte sur la mer et bordée de beaux bâtiments ainsi que de 2 cafés emblématiques ou il fait bon prendre un verre ou manger. Un incontournable.

La piazza più rappresentativa della città di Triste è elegantemente limitata da palazzi storici e da caffè prestigiosi.
Interessante è l’inserimento di luci blu, interne alla pavimentazione, che indicano il limite entro cui,un tempo, insisteva il mandracchio (antico approdo dei pescherecci).
Molto suggestivo è l’accesso dalla limitrofa piazza della borsa e, di sera, la visuale illuminata dal molo audace.
Interessante è l’inserimento di luci blu, interne alla pavimentazione, che indicano il limite entro cui,un tempo, insisteva il mandracchio (antico approdo dei pescherecci).

Quando ci sono stato io da distante era visibile anche se molto lontano.
buonasera, vorrei sapere se via Genova sita nel Comune di Trieste è compresa in area ZTL. Grazie.

Via Genova è a 100 mt da Piazza Unità, ti conviene parcheggiare a Molo 4 e andare a piedi.
Si credo sia ztl o solo per residenti.

Hi, we are a group of 4 in our late 50's. We will be based out of Vienna during our 2 week trip starting last week of May. Is there any beach areas in Trieste area? We have been to Lignano Italy before and that was beautiful. Would you know if this is a similar experience?

Hi there... yes there are beach areas in trieste but it’s best to get a taxi to one of the beach clubs about approximately 10 mins before trieste ... you can see them from the right of the main square near the docks .. you can get a day pass ...
if you prefer sand there is one close to city centre but a bit overcrowded

Parcheggia al molo 4. In 5 minuti a piedi arrivi in Piazza.

Please tell me how close it is to the train station. I am traveling with my granddaughter and we never did anything like this before. We are staying at a friend stationed in Aviano and would like to take the train to Triste and Venice and Milan. And, also, do the trains run all night long. Is this even feasible? Or do we need a car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It is 10 - 15 minutes on foot from the train station, so you most certainly do not need a car. There are also buses from the station which stop in front of the square itself. You must buy the ticket before boarding and validate it in the machine on the bus.

Yes, there is a parking place across the square on the waterfront, but if you need to leave your car for a longer period of time, then it might be better to park somewhere in the street. You can park for free at the train station which is nearby if you can find a space.
