“The largest beach in Cinque Terre National Park”

จากสถานีรถไฟเราเดินออกไปดูชายหาดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดใน Cinque Terre แต่ในเช้าวันที่มีเมฆมากนั้นหาดนี้แตกต่างจากที่ฉันเห็นในโปสเตอร์อย่างสิ้นเชิง ไม่มีร่มชายหาดที่ครอบคลุมชายหาดหรือผู้ที่ชื่นชอบการอาบแดด ทั้งหมดที่ฉันเห็นคือชายหาดที่เงียบสงบและเต็มไปด้วยผู้คนที่เดินเล่นที่นั่น มันเงียบสงบที่นั่นฉันไม่รังเกียจที่จะเดินเล่นที่นั่น ฤดูกาลที่ต่างกันมีกิจกรรมที่แตกต่างกัน การเดินทางมีความสุข!

Finding the Free Beach

Monterosso’s huge drawcard is Fegina beach. This is the largest, stretch of sandy beach in Cinque Terre and is the obvious choice for swimming in the area.
Access couldn’t be easier for tourists. Get off the train and it’s right in front of you.
Some parts of the beach are free but mostly it is taken up by private beach clubs with their rows and rows of colourful umbrellas which can be rented out for the day.
This is somewhat confusing at first but we quickly released that it is actually very easy to tell where the free sections are. Basically, anywhere with the distinctive umbrellas is paid and anywhere without, is free and open to the public.
We were here in May. The water was definitely chilly. It took a bit of commitment to take the plunge but once in, it was lovely and we swam and floated around for some time.
We chose to swim around the very distinctive rock feature in the middle of the beach. It just looked so beautiful, rising up out of the water that we couldn’t resist it.
The water here was calm and crystal clear, with gentle, flat waves and shallow waters.
The ‘sand’ was very grainy and it’s a stretch to call the beach sandy. It was more like gravel with flat smooth pebbles but it was OK to walk on and sit on as long as you had a towel. Not much use for sandcastles but kids might enjoy collecting different colours and shapes of pebbles.
In early May, the beach was crowded but not overly crowded. It was not too difficult to find a space to spread out your towels. Judging by the number of people here in May, I imagine that it must be manic in July.

Breathtaking

This was heaven for my Husband and I. We stayed at the neighboring village Riomaggiore. We got a spot that was right by the rock that we dreamed of while planning this trip. It was an overcast day which was perfect for the kind of day we wanted. We rented a couple of chairs and an umbrella and relaxed for hours before we ate some amazing lunch nearby and then dinner at a beautiful winery.

The water was clear and at a decent temperature. We did have to look out for jellyfishes though. There were no signs posted about them.

Es una playa extensa pero muy angosta por lo que la separación entre la gente casi no existe. Es de piedritas y tiene lindas vistas

Attrezzata con docce anche per le spiagge libere.
Parcheggio a pagamento adiacente.

Sands of Monterosso

The beach stretches along the front of the town like a Riviera city. The beach is mainly stones and dirt - no white sands here. There are a ton of cafes, deck chairs, umbrellas and changing sheds all along its length ending at Il Gigante where a private club is located. When we were there the water was choppy and not a lot of good swimming options but it was sunny and warm and plenty to see around the area.

Va bene in giornata

Va bene solo in giornata se si arriva presto per godersi la spiaggia. Se si arriva tardi alla mattina, la strada principale viene chiusa al traffico. L'unico parcheggio che c'è è a pagamento. La parte di spiaggia libera è a dir poco imbarazzante e gli stabilimenti, nonostante siano tutti mezzi vuoti, sono sempre "completi". Meglio visitare monterosso in primavera!

Spiaggia abbastanza pulita, disponibilità limitata (meglio prenotare), niente di ché se non una cosa che NON AMMETTO: 35 euro senza ricevuta (e ovviamente pagamento in contanti).
Poi non capisco come certi commercianti possano lamentarsi per le tasse che pagano...
Ma siamo in Italia.

Comunque bella giornata.

Se arrivi in auto la giornata inizierà ad esser tutt'altro che economica. Unico Park a pagamento un salasso. La spiaggia tanto decantata come sabbia bianca è ghiaia, pietrisco fastidioso, il mare diventa subito profondo quindi non adatto ai bimbi piccoli. I lettini ad una distanza improponibile, il tettuccio diventa ingombro per chi deve passare dietro. Quando sei nella spiaggia privata per far la doccia devi salire sulle teste di chi occupa quella libera. Può andare bene, forse, solo come gita ma in periodi non estivi.

Spiagge troppo piccole e affollate, non si trova posto neanche a pagarlo, il mare è sporco e inquinato dagli scarichi delle barche che si avvicinano alla riva per scaricare, il costo della vita è eccessivamente alto, qui una vacanza di relax si trasforma in un esperienza stressante oltre ogni sopportazione, va bene per un giorno, solo da visitare, ma trattenervisi a lungo diventa un calvario

La spiaggia di Fegina è la più grande delle Cinque Terre.
Il mare è pulito ma ci sono sassi per cui è utile munirsi di calzature opportune per passeggiare in riva e per andare in mare.
Prezzi elevati: per un ombrellone e due lettini dai 35 ai 40 €.
