The Church and churchyard were beautiful and worth the walk from the lakeside. The church had beautiful paintings and religious depictions inside the church. It took our breath away.

There is a beautiful churchyard, church and murals in this location. It is very peaceful, near the center of town and worth the trip.

La piazza della chiesa comprende la chiesa dedicata ai santi Gervaso e Protaso, l'antico battistero il sagrata e la Via Crucis dell'800. Il tutto rende la piazza molto interessante e fotogenica

Bellissima! Merita una visita e una preghiera alla Madonna, perché è tutto molto mistico! Noi, poi, ci siamo trovati durante le prove di canto per un matrimonio ... sembrava di essere tra gli angeli! Se passate da Baveno, visitate la Chiesa 👍!!!

Bellissima piazzetta risalente al XIV secolo con porticato, chiesa e battistero attiguo. Nella stessa piazzetta c'è un piccolissimo museo, ad ingresso gratuito, a tema unico "granito di Baveno".
Una scoperta davvero inaspettata, consigliata una breve visita!

Piccola ed incantevole piazza circondata da portici dove sono raffigurati i quadri della vi ia crucis. Bello il battistero, completamente affrescato. La chiesa un po’ buia, meriterebbe un’illuminazione migliore.

In this beautiful churchyard you can see the Church of Saints Gervaso and Protasio, the Baptistery of Saint John, the Portico of the Way of the Cross and the Granum Museum.

Well, it's a nice, well restored little place & it's only a short walk from the Lakeside so worth a look at.
The tourist office is here too.
The colours of the walls are beautiful.
It's also on the way to the train station & the Spar shop.

Is it possible to drive to this church, park somewhere close the stairs and then climb up the stairs?
Kindly indicate a parking area close by to leave the car

All the parking places along the lakeside are free of charge and just 5 min. Walking from the church. There is also Marinai d'Italia square just behind the imbarcadero (boat station) which is free of charge during winter time. If you visit Baveno on Sun. The 13th of November it will be crowdy but you will have the opportunity to enjoy "un salto nel passato" a wonderful event with all the ancient trades and Christmas living crib...definitely it worth a visit.
