With really a "pretty modest" facade of the building to see from the front side, I would just say that I was "quite a bit" impressed once inside especially by the "main room" (by its spaciousness & the number of the upper gallery levels around the room, making it not at par but "to some extent" quite similar to those of the great theaters visited elsewhere in the world prior to here); and yes it was pretty great to see the main room not just by being in the room but also from like the "designated viewing box" which is right above the room entrance. And apart from the main room are also some rooms to walk around on the 2nd floor which are mainly bare except for some few paintings on the walls, but where in one room at the time was some "life-in-photos" exhibit (about the opera singer named Maria Callas who once performed at this theater) and where there's also a sizeable ballroom-like one with "some glitters" around it.

Located at a "bustling area" of the city and actually pretty close to the Piazza San Marco, it wasn't on the same day though that I visited this theater (just not enough time after the Basilica & the Campanile tower on the Piazza with also a great view of the "open water" of the Venetian Lagoon from the Piazza's waterfront "extension part"); and yes also on the day of visit here was having to come back in the afternoon to enter (due to some event in the main room in the morning).

in the dark

We bought tickets to visit the theatre. At the reception we were told to come back tomorrow as they were fixing the lights, which we did. The next day we visited the theatre with great expectation but then the big theatre room was completely dark. It was for the whole day as they were again fixing the lights. We requested a refund which we got back. Therefore please certify that you can see everything before paying as it is worthwile.

Teatro La Fenice, una visita imperdible

Asistimos a la primera función de la ópera “Ernani” de G. Verdi con entradas compradas previamente, por Internet, seis meses antes de nuestro viaje. La ubicación de nuestras entradas, a pesar de estar en una Galleria-No Parapetto (Fila B), se veía perfectamente el espectáculo.
En nuestros previos viajes a Venecia no había sido posible conseguir entradas y conocer por fin este fantástico teatro ha sido una experiencia inolvidable. Impecable la reconstrucción a la que tuvo que ser sometido.

…PRESTIGIOSO TEATRO!!….

…sono stata in questo Teatro “La Fenice” a Venezia con un tour organizzato!!..per cui con la guida!!…purtroppo sul palco si tenevano le prove per uno spettacolo e non ho visto tanto bene l’interno…anche perché le luci erano basse!!…comunque sicuramente un prestigioso Teatro che si trova vicino a Piazza San Marco!!…e è il principale Teatro lirico della città!!…è uno dei più famosi al mondo!!…qui ci sono state le prime assolute di opere dei compositori più importanti!!…Giuseppe Verdi…Vincenzo Bellini…Gioacchino Rossini…Gaetano Donizetti…ma tanti altri!!…ha sùbito vari incendi!!…ma è sempre stato ricostruito meglio di prima!!…Maria Callas…si è esibita per tanto tempo in questo Teatro!!…e dal 2015 qui ha sede una mostra permanente dedicata alla grande cantante lirica!!…e ai suoi anni di attività a Venezia!!…mi spiace non aver avuto modo di vedere bene il Teatro con le luci che meritava!!…spero di tornarci per una visita ben fatta!!…

This was well planned. I booked well in advance the best seats in the house and it was for Madam Butterfly and was a gift on a special occasion.. The whole thing from start to finish was a wonderful experience. The foyer of the theatre, the drinks before, the sublime performance, the beauty of the interior of La Fenice itself. It was like sitting in a fabulous gilded baroque Faberge egg., listening to the most beautiful rendition of this great opera…Amazing

Venice’s famous opera house didn’t disappoint. Purchased an audio tour at the time with no queuing and enjoyed an hour hearing about the history and architecture of this wonderful venue. Renovated back to its former glory after an arson attack it couldn’t have a more appropriate name - it literally has been reborn from the ashes of its former self. Stunning…

No pongo menos porque no se puede. Compramos la entrada, 12 euros por persona, y tal cual pasamos al patio de butacas apagan las luces y nos dicen que tenemos que salir y verlo desde un palco diminuto con las luces apagadas y con 30 personas más que ni cabíamos porque estaban haciendo un ensayo. Me parece fenomenal que sea un ensayo y un teatro en activo pero lo mínimo y lo justo es que pongan un cartel avisando al entrar antes de que compres el ticket, o que las personas de la taquilla te avisen, porque lo saben de sobra, para que tú puedas decidir qué quieres hacer. Terrible experiencia

Jolie découverte pour une visite en famille. Nous avions pris des billets sur internet et avions bénéficié d'un tarif famille : pour deux adultes et deux ados, nous avons payé 30€. L'accueil est certes un peu froid mais la visite est très agréable. Grâce aux audio-guides, balade instructive sur ce magnifique théâtre.
