We had a wonderful time with TuscanMagic, perhaps the highlight of our 2 week trip with our family of four from San Francisco including our two teenagers. We met Laura in Cortona and drove to the Tuscan/Umbrian border for truffle hunting with Paula and her dog Maya who led us through the countryside and dug up 8 truffles. Paula was charming and has been truffle hunting for a decade. We then went to a nearby farmhouse to clean and cook our truffles at Francesca’s. (La Casa di Francesca is also a restaurant and cooking school). Francesca, the chef worked with our family and a translator (the delightful Suzy) to learn how to make fresh pasta with truffles, a turkey cutlet stuffed with vegetables and cooked in parchment, and a truffle fondue. We also had fresh strawberry panna cotta for dessert. We dined al fresco with amazing wine pairings. It was so much fun, the atmosphere and energy in the kitchen was high, and we learned a lot. My whole family enjoyed it tremendously. Laura then took us back to Cortona and while driving, gave us a nice tour and history of the Tuscan landscape.

So glad you enjoyed it!!!!Thanks also for the beautiful pictures. It was such a nice experience for everybody of us. And everybody shared a little of the energy and the love they had in the truffle hunting and the course. Hope to have you and your wonderful family soon again here. to learn another truffle recipe!

We loved working with Tuscanmagic while staying in Cortona, Italy. Laura was so helpful and we found their tours to be more dynamic and interesting than tours we book through another agency (the services came with our villa - but Laura was so much better!). We booked a Truffle Hunting and cooking class that was one of the highlights of our trip! So much fun to watch the dogs hunt up the truffles and then learn to cook with them later. Laura also booked a wonderful wine and cheese tasting tour that I would have passed up - and would have regretted that. She was wonderful and so very accommodating to the various needs of our group of six. I would recommend her and Tuscanmagic in a heartbeat!

Both places were good to see but thought each location was too touristy for what we were looking for. Might have just been the season or time of day we were there.

yes you are right. There are some periods when the 2 towns are rather busy. Your period was Spring Holiday in Italy. Nevertheless i think they are 2 places you have.. to see to understand Tuscany and our history. You would have missed something if you did not

Tuscan magic coordinated a wine tour from Cortona, Italy to Sienna Italy with a driver who knew the area well. We had private tours of a montepulciano winery Cantina Ercolani as well as our favorite Brunello di Montalcino wine at Tenuta Fanti. In addition stopped for lunch in Pienza and toured Saint Antimo's abbey. One of the best parts of our honeymoon!

We visited Cortona in September 2016 and took an all day tour to Siena and St.Gimignano with Laura from Tuscanmagic tours. It was a wonderful day, Laura made lunch reservation for us in a great restaurant in Siena , "LA Finestra ",it offers great authentic food, then we went to St.Gimignano where we had an opportunity for wine tasting of Vernazza wine, just marvelous experience and Laura made it so much wonderful with her guidance through these historical hill towns in beautiful Tuscany ! ! I highly recommend ! !

Staying six days in Cortona, Sienna was high on our list of places to revisit: undoubtedly one of the finest jewels of Tuscan cities. Cortona to Siena being difficult by train we turned to Laura.
Laura at Tuscanmagic organised a wonderful day for us. The highlight undoubtedly was the visit to the cathedral and the more than excellent guide that Laura had arranged for us. We were lucky in that all of inlaid marble floor was uncovered (only six to ten weeks pa).
Our guide also explained all we needed to know about the Palio.- not on during our visit.
With Laura in charge she parked most conveniently near to the escalator into the city centre and showed us round the most interesting streets.

My husband and I did the Orvieto and Civita De Bagnoreggio tour with Tuscan Magic. We had a fantastic time with Laura, the agency owner, and our driver.
The authorised guide in Orvieto was Francesca, a very knowledgeable and fun lady.
Then on to Civita De Bagnoreggio, with Laura as our guide...what can we say, the place left us lost for words.
Laura made it come alive for us.
This small place should be a must on any ones list of thing to see in Italy.
Make sure to use the Tuscan Magic travel agency if you are in Cortona, so helpful and welcoming for all kinds of tours and activities.
