We spent two excellent days traveling to towns and vineyards in Tuscany with Giancarlo. He generously shared his knowledge of the area and willingly guided us in how best to use our time in each town. The office is fantastic, too - very responsive and helpful.

Besides the beautiful cultural and artistic things and lovely countryside of Tuscany, it was really the personal interaction with Giancarlo which was most memorable. His knowledge, insight and delightful sense of humor only amplified the wonder of the experience. His warm and engaging manner made it seem as if you were on an adventure with an old friend.
We spent three days with Giancarlo, one in Gimignano and Siena, one in Lucca and Pisa and the last a tour of the Chianti region with visits to several wineries. He drove each day from Siena to Florence to pick us up and brought us home each night, every minute of which was thoroughly enjoyable. We learned so much about Tuscany, its history and Italy in general that it would be impossible to replicate in any other way. I can’t imagine a better way to experience this wonderful place and would have believed a cost twice what we paid well worth it.

Excellent service! Very professional, on time and pleasant driver. We have requested many vans transfers with special baby and child car seats in Tuscany. All our requests have been perfectly fulfilled. Thank you so much Giancarlo for the outstanding service!

Giancarlo picked us up from our hotel in Siena to explore much of the Tuscan countryside, before bringing us to our next destination in Florence. He arranged a wonderful lunch and wine tasting ahead of time, per our request (which was excellent in every way), followed by a full afternoon at various villages and stopping points. Had we rented a car, my husband and I would never have discovered the many picture-perfect medieval towns covered on our private tour. Giancarlo was relaxed and very knowledgeable in his approach, which meant the whole trip (8+ hours) was organically enjoyable. Please do not hesitate in booking with him.

Perhaps the fact that we have traveled with Giancarlo on at least five of our visits to Tuscany tells you that he is an excellent person to show you the beauty of Tuscany. Rather than offering set itineraries Giancarlo is quite willing to customize the tour to the client's interests. He always makes suggestions- seeing olive oil being pressed in the fall, visiting a truffle festival or a cheese factory and then letting the client choose. His suggestions for restaurants are always excellent. If we want more or less time in a location it is not problem. Overall, I would recommend Girancarlo to anyone looking for a driver in Tuscany.

Thank you to Giancarlo for a wonderful day out in Tuscany. As a family of four with two youngish kids we decided to book Giancarlo for the day out. His caring nature and knowledge of the area was fantastic. After finding out our profession he suggested we might like to go and see a professional truffle hunter in action with his Lagotto dog breed. This was fantastic. They found a heap of truffles. Then we saw the litter of Lagotto puppies. Our kids were in heaven. After this we had an amazing lunch, visited San Gimignano and Siena. It was a brilliant day out, thanks to Giancarlo. We would recommend him for a day out any time. Thank you.

Our trip to Italy lasted for three weeks. We hired Giancarlo in the hopes that we would be able to get along with someone for that length of time. We were not disappointed. He is the BEST- and always early, never late.
Our trip took us from as far south as Puglia, then on to Basilicata to meet relatives from my ancestral home. We continued through Pompeii, Siena, Pisa, Florence, Milan, Lake Como, Parma, Modena and other places of interest and great beauty. We ended our stay in Emilia Romagna for another meeting with family members in that region. Giancarlo remained nearby for any change in plan or any opportunity to see something new; no request was too much.
No road was too narrow, no route too complicated for Giancarlo. They were places to go and things to see that he thought we would be interested in and he suggested them to us. Every inch of the trip was delivered cheerfully, warmly, and safely. We warmed to each others humor and fortunately, his excellent understanding of English was far superior to our Italian.
When it came to eating, he was a gold mine of excellent local eateries.
All in all, Giancarlo’s knowledge and patience made our trip a rousing success. He is highly recommended.

We had a group of 4. Giancarlo was fantastic and brought us to wonderful wineries. At the end of the day we all felt that it was excellent value and that our experience was custom created to make our Tuscany wine tasting very special.

Giancarlo has been our guide in Tuscany in the past and we've always found him excellent. This October we flew to Venice for a few days they Giancarlo drove us to Florence with stops in Padua and Bologna including lunch along the way. A couple of days later he spent an entire day with us at the Cinque Terre. At the end of our Tuscan vacation he drove us to Civitivecchia to board a cruise. He provides whatever level of interaction the client would like- if you prefer to be dropped off and explore an area on your own he will provide maps and get you oriented then let you go off on your own. If you prefer more guiding he will walk along with you and give you a guided tour. He always plans tours based on the clients interests. His restaurant recommendations are excellent and he will make reservations for you. He even purchased some just pressed olive oil for us and brought it to us on our last day with him. We will definitely call Giancarlo for our next visit to Tuscany.

Planning a week in Tuscany for 8 people should be daunting, but thanks to the fine people at Tuscany by GC, it was a breeze. My wife and I had toured with Giancarlo on
our last trip to Italy so choosing him again was a an easy decision. Not only did we book them for the Rome to Florence transfers, we also spent two days enjoying the Chianti and then the Val D’Orcia tours. GC arranged for a large van and our Driver Marco kept us on schedule and entertained us with stories about wine-making and his olive grove.
My friends thanked me for organize such a great trip, but all the credit goes to Cathy, Marco and of course GC.
