Great time, tons of gelato!

We had an awesome gelato tour with Olvia. She was so kind and welcoming, and we learned a ton about making gelato and the different varieties. It was a super fun experience!

The highlight of our food experience in Florence! Olivia was a wonderful host! We felt like we were visiting the city with a friend. The food was spectacular and we tried items that were unique and tasty. I loved the stories and history of the many places we visited. Highly recommend this tour!

Food, culture and history!

Cristina was an amazing tour guide who provided us a wealth of knowledge on Italian food and the culture around food as well as history of Florence. The perfect way to kick start our week in Florence. It was like having a friend walking you around their home town. Very enjoyable, delicious and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Florence!

Cristina, the private Florencmarket tour hostess with the mostest

My husband and I did the private Florence food market tour with Cristina. She was a terrific and knowledgeable host! Cristina provided a well-rounded overview of the history behind the food market, restaurants, and general areas of Florence that we visited. When I asked food/recipe-specific/culture-related questions, Cristina always had an answer for it. She had a list of restaurant and leather shop recommendations ready to go, which is ideal for those who are visiting Florence for the first time and are looking for an authentic experience. I’d recommend taking a market tour during the beginning of your trip so that you can fill in any down-time that you may have with shops/restaurants that the guide suggests.

Though my husband had already visited the more tourist-y areas of Florence by the time we met Cristina, the market part of town that she guided us through was totally different than what we’d previously seen. It was a glimpse into everyday life for a local. We were the only Americans in the shops we stepped into, and sampled local food we hadn’t yet come across. Cristina was easy to chat with and took a genuine interest in foods that we’d cook back at home (which all I could think of in the moment was tacos because I knew any pasta dish I make at home was garbage compared to what we’d eaten in Italy). I was honestly a little sad to part ways with our guide at the end of the tour! Highly recommend booking the this tour and with Cristina especially!

Wonderful progressive dinner in Florence

A wonderfully fun, delicious and informative tour

This was my second time doing a Curious Appetite tour and it did not disappoint. We did the Craft Cocktail and Apertivo Tour and had so much fun! Olivia was an amazing guide and took us to three different stops to experience fantastic food and drink. Along the way, she gave us information about the history of apertivo and its relationship to the history of Florence. Along the way she also pointed out sites and gave us great recommendations of places to try during our stay. It was a highly enjoyable and informative, a great way to spend two hours in Firenze!

small Group Market tour, Florence

My bother and I spent a few lovely hours wandering around the market area with Olivia. She was an absolute delight to be with and told us a lot of interesting things about the area. She has lovely relationships with the store owners, which was so nice to see. We ate some delicious food during the tour and finished it with some amazing hot chocolate and chocolates. I am very glad that we went on the market food tour with her and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

Great Aperitivo and Food Tour!

We greatly enjoyed our tour. We appreciated the mix of food and drinks, in addition to the interesting information. We also greatly appreciated how Adrienne previewed each stop for us so we were able to know what was coming up next. The vegetarian substitutions we had were wonderful as well.

We will recommend this to others!

A perfect afternoon in Florence!

The Hidden gems of Florence food tour was fantastic. Olivia was a wonderful guide for both adults and teens alike! She was informative, easygoing, personable and warm. Her English was excellent and the food was beyond delicious. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in Florence!
