Great place!

I did the Normal Zipline package and also did the Extreme package. Its a great place for ziplining. the normal package had 14 ziplines and the extreme one had 3. The best part of the experience was there were 2 instructors with you. One was launching you and the other used to zip to the ending point to receive you. If you are in the area, its a must do. The 400-500 metre plus zip lines were long and cool. the extreme zipline which had 1 Km + zipline was fast and furious :-) I think if you are around, you must do this activity. Approach needs a entry ticket 75 Rands / adult and you pass thru the reserve which has non dangerous wildlife roaming around. Dont forget to go the Suspension bridge after ziplining. Its in a stunning area. I didnt have time taking the steps to the Hells Gate where the gorge begins but I assume it will be great too.

Die Zipline Tour im Lake Eland Game Reserve war eine tolle Erfahrung über 4,5 km, verteilt auf 16 Strecken.
Der längste Run war 700 m lang und ging über die 300m tiefe Schlucht.
Unsere kleine Gruppe von 4 Personen wurde von 2 freundlichen und kompetenten Guides begleitet,
welche, wenn erforderlich, unterstützend eingriffen. Vor dem Start erfolgte eine gründliche Einweisung
sowie eine Erklärung der Sicherheitstechnik. Die verwendete Ausrüstung wirkte gut instand und vertrauenserweckend.
Es war ein echtes Abenteuer, definitiv adrenalingeladen.

Man almost fell to death, all safety procedures ignored or failed

Horrible experience!! We, two parents and our 12 year old daughter are still very, very shocked. At the very long zipline no. 7 with speed 75-100 km/h, named something like "Laugh in the face of death/danger", a man in our group almost died - fell to his death. We were told not to break on this line. He arrived at the platform with a lot of speed. The guide did not break him at all. The man made something like a backward flip .... and bounced back +/ 20 meters away from the platform. Hanging far above the treetops.
During this flip his harnass came loose of his shoulders and also the extra security line was loose. He was hanging upside down with only the back of his knees in the harnass!
His pants slowly but surely slipped out. The man yelled, my harnass is loose!! I'm gonna faint! The guide slided back towards him and tried to hold the heavy built man. No instructions were given by the guide at all.
We on the platform asked .... what can we do???
It took a long time before the group on the platform got the man and guide back to the platform. From there it was a big struggle to get him from under the platform ....on top of the platform. We were all at the edge of the platform trying to get him save. The platform was still 4-5 meters above the ground.
Luckily we could save him ..... he was totally in shock. It was a very, very close call.
We could not stop at that platform, we had to do 1 more zipline.
When we were back, the manager was mostly interested in the harnass and not at all in our story!! We haven't heart anything from the company anymore.
The accident is filmed.... till we realised that it was horribly wrong.
At that time we tried our best to save the man and guide but later we realised that all safety procedures failed. It was horror.

Excellent experience, worth the drive to get there.

The facilities are in great condition and the people assisting with the ziplining were brilliant and made this an amazing experience.

What an amazing experience. Went for our honeymoon and enjoyed every second of it. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable and we just had the best time.

Wow... there are no words that can fully describe what you experience ... just WOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!
This is the longest zip line in Africa!
And fortunately you are not on your own, the instructors come with you and guide you..and encourage you! Trust me, you will need it.

Most fun and scary thing I have ever done

Was convinced to join the wife and kids and boy am i happy i did. It was exhilarating and scary and so much fun. Very well organised and always felt safe. My 10 year old was the bravest and didnt hesitate going first. Cant describe how much fun this is. Just do it and then comment

I only wanted to drive the game reserve but on seeing kids do the zip line and I am 67
Thought I would give it a go and boy am I glad I did.
From the safety briefing to the actual zip line I was very comfortable with all the fantastic staff.
In total I think there were 19 off them and for me it was frightening but at the same time bloody awesome.
The two guides were fantastic helping all the way never felt uncomfortable .
Midweek prices 390 rand and not sure lasted at least hour and a half maybe more.
But if you are unfit there are some very steep hills to climb.
But five stars for me.

Ziplining with my wife. It was our first time. Awesome experience. Would recommend it to everyone. Cannot wait to go and do the extreme zipline.
