This theatre is beautiful in both the bar/restaurant and the auditorium. Plush red seats, gold and white walls - large, grand rooms for entertaining. Extremely impressive and a wonderful venue to see some quality live performance in Amsterdam.

ライツェ広場に面していて、赤いレンガがとても華やかな印象を与えます。装飾も多くて、中央駅もそうですが、アムステルダムの重要なな建物＝レンガというイメージですね。一部工事中でした。

Este impresionante teatro neo-renacentista se encuentra en la esquina de Marnixstraat y Leidseplein.
El edificio es muy hermoso, muy decorado y la perspectiva es ideal desde frente a la esquina, habiendo muchos detalles que observar.
Cuenta con un grupo nacional estable de teatro aunque también allí acuden otros grupos a representar sus obras y hay además un testaurante dentro del teatro, en el primer piso.

This building is lovely and really has a grand impression.
I watched a play from in what I believe was one of the rehearsal rooms.
The seating was Ok but it did get very warm. The theatre provided fans which was a nice touch but aircon would be better.

We always go in here for a quick drink or snack when we are in Amsterdam. Staff is very friendly and accurate and although you are ion the heart of the city...it's quite all around.

De Stadsschouwburg is a really lovely building. The architecture is majestic. This is a neo-Renaissance style construction, and originally it used to be the National Ballet and Opera House. It is worth a stop and deserves a closer look if you are in the vicinity.

it is located along the outer canal. its architecture and design is fabulous. its intricate design. it is a theater and they have plays through out the year.

Vanmiddag naar de Stadsschouwburg geweest om een lezing bij te wonen van Erik Scherder over je brein en de invloed van stress erop en het gevoel dat muziek hierbij geeft.
Een hele interessante lezing met prachtige pianomuziek uitgevoerd door Ruben Plazier en mezzosopraan Merel Huizinga.
Alles werd met duidelijke plaatjes uitgelegd en we kregen ook nog een ademhalingsoefeningen. En hebben tot slot samen gedwongen.
Erg geslaagde middag.

The excellent young dancers of the NDT perform three spellbinding pieces of modern and contemporary ballet in this superb show.
