Rainy but pleasant evening- private boat tour

Great communication and customer service. We were staying in the Jordan neighborhood and conveniently, that’s where the meeting place was set for. The boat showed up exactly on time and our skipper greeted us with a friendly ahoy and a smile. Little Lindt chocolates and warm tea was waiting for us which was perfect as it was a rainy, cold evening. We almost sent a msg that we would not go, even if we would have lost our payment, as we were not excited about doing the boat tour in the dreary weather. Boy are we glad we didn’t cancel. The boat operator had pulled over the roof and plastic sides therefore we did not get wet and…. surprise, the seats were heated. Very happy about that detail!
The one hour tour was sufficient for us and we enjoyed the evening lights of the canal. We greatly enjoyed the tour and would recommend spending a little more of your hard earned money on a private tour such as this to truly enjoy the experience.

Great experience!

There are so many options for canal tours in Amsterdam. We based our decision on reviews, so only felt it was right that we share our experience. Especially after seeing the larger tour boats, we were so glad that we chose a small, private tour. We learned a lot and appreciated being able to ask our questions ranging from “What’s that building?” to “Where is your favorite place to get apple pie?” It was a great way to see the city on our first day in Amsterdam. We would highly recommend!

Great private canal cruise

Had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. He took us on a nice, romantic tour of the canals in Amsterdam. He explained the sites along the way and was very knowledgeable of Amsterdam. He even had a variety of cables so that I was able to charge my cell phone. As we were cruising the canals, we reached our hotel close to the end of the tour and he offered to dropped us near our hotel so we did not have to pay for a taxi to return.

Our Private Amsterdam Canal Tour

Paap met us in his boat right outside our hotel (Pulitzer Amsterdam) and gave us a wonderful one hour tour of the city. He offered us water and beer and gave us a very well informed tour about the history of Amsterdam, the canals, the buildings along the canals, etc. He also stopped along the way at good photo opps and took our photos on our phones which was very thoughtful. I'd highly recommend him.

Romantic boat ride

The captain was very nice and flexible. He agreed to pick us from the canal in front of our hotel and drop near Damrak after the ride. This was very convenient and saved us time.

The ride was very smooth and we felt as if the boat was gliding on the water.

Mega schöne Fahrt mit unserem Skipper Paap

"Rederij Paping" ist absolut empfehlenswert, wenn ihr eine tolle Grachtenfahrt durch Amsterdam machen wollt. Die komplette Kommunikation mit Carla war einfach super einfach und sie antwortete immer richtig schnell. Das war sehr angenehm. Die Fahrt mit Paap war super angenehm. Dank seiner Deutschkenntnisse war es auch meinen Eltern möglich sich zu unterhalten und Informationen über Amsterdam direkt von ihm zu erhalten. Paap ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Er hat wunderschöne Bilder von uns gemacht sobald er ein schönes Motiv gesehen hatte. Wir haben die Fahrt im vollen Zuge genossen und würden immer wieder über "Book a Tour" buchen. Vielen Dank!

and I should know as have been on the water since 2005! Great intimate boat, lovely quiet electric. Paap has so much knowledge of the canals...mages to pick the magic spots. Love it! Will be back!

Great introduction to the city of Amsterdam.

We had a lovely cruise with skipper Cynthia on our first night in Amsterdam. It was an excellent introduction to the city, as we had never been here before, and gave us the lay of the land before our vacation here. We would highly recommend this relaxing to her with his skipper Cynthia, or her husband, Mark.

Very friendly and accommodating and worth the money if you want to avoid being crammed with other tourists. Enjoyed it!

Pomp was very friendly! We loved the tour especially earlier in the am when the city was quiet. He was quite accommodating and our ride was comfortable. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a little more history and explanation of the architecture or important events, etc. Overall I would definitely recommend this!
