Ο πιο μεγαλος ανεμομυλος του Αμστερνταμ! Λιγο εξω απο το κεντρο του Αμστερνταμ! Δυστηχως δε μπορουσε το κοινο να μπει μεσα αλλα για φωτογραφια και μια μπυρα κατω στο μαγαζακι μια χαρα!

I thought that I'd put the important bit - as that has annoyed recent reviewers - and so is inaccessible. In over 20 years of being nearby, I have only seen the sails move once - last week !

L'unico mulino che ho visto ad Amsterdam, suggestivo e ideale per fare foto.
Non è funzionante ma molto ben tenuto nonostante si veda che ha un bel po' di anni.
È attaccato ad un birrificio dove si degusta dell'ottima birra artigianale!

Último molino que hay en la ciudad de Ámsterdam, así como el molino de madera más alto que hay en Holanda, con sus 26,6 m de altura.
Fue construido en el canal de Nieuwevaart en 1725 pero, en este emplazamiento, no estuvo durante mucho tiempo, fundamentalmente, porque las construcciones posteriores de esta zona dejaron el molino sin viento. Así en 1814, se trasladó, piedra a piedra, al puerto de Funenkade, al lugar donde hoy podemos visitarlo. Y estuvo funcionando hasta principios del siglo XX.
Actualmente es un monumento nacional y debajo está disponible una cervecería que vale la pena visitar y disfrutar de una buena muestra de varias cervezas acompañada de algún plato típico holandés.

This windmill, based a a lot of research, is the closest to downtown Amsterdam’s city center. It was not located necessarily in a rural area, but was a very pleasant walk (about 45 minutes) from the Royal Palace. It’s was surprising to see it’s size compared to the more modern buildings around it. There are 2 cafe’s around the base that serve beer and local street foods.
All in all well worth a walk to see.

I don't know why this is a thing. Maybe we went at the wrong time (evening). We didn't go inside as it was closed. The brewery next to it was also closing by the time we got there. We took a picture with it but otherwise, felt we sort of wasted our time making the trek to see the windmill. I would place this well down on your list of "to do" in Amsterdam.

Holandsko je zemí romantických větrných mlýnů, a tak jistě nějaký budete očekávat i v Amsterdamu. Na východě města narazíte rovnou na nejvyšší dřevěný větrný mlýn v celém Nizozemsku s výškou 26,6 metru. Mlýn pochází z roku 1725 a v současné době není možné navštívit přímo jeho interiér, nicméně v přízemí najdete příjemnou restauraci.

Nous avons bu une bière 🍺 dans le pub du coin et nous avions ce moulin en face de nous.

Most disappointed as we travelled there especially and found it shut?! Waited until 12.15, along with others, and decided to leave!! Spoilt part of our day in an otherwise wonderful city!

I didn't go into the windmill, either. I don't think you can. I saw it on the hike I took to the Maritime Museum. I expect the Brewery has a website and you can google that. Wish I could be more helpful.

It was a city bus, I do not remember the bus line number. The stop is on the Main busy street in front of the wind mill. The schedule and route were posted in the bus stop. We saw the bus would takes us right near where we wanted to go. I would recommend looking for the bus line information on the Internet. Or, if arriving to Amsterdam by plane or train, picking up one of the free bus schedule brochures.
