We visited on the weekend that many national monuments/ buildings were open free to the public...and had a great time looking round the Stadhuis with some very friendly and informative guides.
Lovely building in the centre of Gouda.
Great town to walk around and loved the buzz of the market Square and it's restaurants/ bars in the evenings.. 😊

Il municipio di Gouda si trova giusto al centro della piazza principale. Impossibile non notarlo!! Molto bello, è sicuramente uno dei simboli di questo paese!!

It’s an interesting and attractive-looking building from the outside. The interior has zero interest. In fact, the only reason to buy a ticket to get in is to have a view of the cheese market from the balcony, on Thursday during the season the market is on!

Bâtiment emblématique et remarquable de la ville. Il est également très agréable de flâner sur la place ("markt") qui l'entoure ou de s'y attarder sur l'une des nombreuses terrasses.

Cet ancien hôtel de ville vaut le détour, mais n'est pas accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. c'est très compliqué vu l'âge du bâtiment,sa hauteur et tous ses escaliers.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we only looked at the outside of this place, and didn’t go in. We were there at noon to see the characters on the carillon move as the bells rang. They go off at the top of the hour and half past.

Muy imponente la construccion, esta ubicada en la plaza principal, en los alrededores hay lugares para comer y comprar. Ahora en invierno hay una pista de patinaje alrededor.

Gouda es una bella ciudad fuera del circuito turistico comun de Paises Bajos y como teniamos tiempo de sobra decidimos tomar el tren para visitarla.En Gouda ,hay quesos,si y muy ricos..pero no es solo eso.DE casualidad caimos en un dia festivo y habia mucha gente local y niños en la calle divirtiendose en un parque de diversiones emplazado en la plaza principal.Su centro comercial es de varias cuadras, realmente muy bellas,que rematan en el City Hall de una arquitectura muy propia de la region (flandes).y donde se realizaban las transacciones comerciales especialmente de quesos.La atencion en los negocios siempre es muy amable y dispuesta a hacer saborear a sus clientesla cantidad de quesos que prefiera.10 puntos.

Het is een fraai gebouw. Toen wij er waren, was het gesloten voor een bruiloft, dat gebeurt natuurlijk (on)regelmatig. Ik wilde ook het poppenspel op de zijgevel (rechts als je met je gezicht naar de ingang staat) zien bewegen, maar dat moment hadden we helaas net gemist (speelt steeds om 2 minuten na elk half uur: 10.02 etc.). Kortom: voldoende reden om nog eens terug te gaan naar Gouda.

Yes, the Stadhuis is open to tourists Monday to Friday from 9:00 - 17:30. I do not remember the entrance fee but it was low, a few Euro at the most.

Church??? There IS the St John's Church. ( St Jan), close to the market square with its famous former town hall ( where my parents were married, in 1941 and my birth was registered in 1943 and my parents' plans to migrate to Australia were registered......but the St John's (St Jan's kerk) is just down the street, where I rode my first bike, with wooden blocks on the pedals, so that I could reach them!!)
