L'extérieur, dont le fameux bulbe qui la couronne, donne beaucoup de cachet à la ville de Dinant. Construite à l'avant d'une impressionnante falaise rocheuse, elle est à son point culminant presque à la hauteur du sommet, que couronne massivement la citadelle.
En entrant on est tout d'abord impressionné par sa taille, ses robustes piliers et aussi par le gigantesque vitrail néo gothique consacré à la Vierge. Puis la vision s'affine et l'oeil est sollicité de toute part : citons dans le désordre une belle collection de statues polychromées, des statues de saints animées d'un beau mouvement par des sculpteurs inspirés, l'autel et son magnifique tabernacle doré, un retable néo-gothique et même une chapelle moderne aux lignes épurées.
On ressort de la collégiale avec l'impression d'en avoir eu plein les yeux et pourtant … de pas avoir tout vu tant elle recèle de richesses cachées.

Very beautiful church from both the outside and inside. It is free to visit and takes no more than half an hour to walk around. It is worth popping into during a trip to Dinant.

Most people come to Dinant to see this. It is very picturesque at every angle. Photos taken from the bridge and opposite the river are also very nice.

Absolutely stunning! This church really stands out for its beauty and rich history, as soon as you lay eyes upon it, it seduces you and demands your attention.
Inside it’s even more outstanding! I’d love to go up to the balconies and see the view from there.
The stained glass is very impressive and really, it’s hard for pictures to do it justice.
Well worth the trip and it’s right across the river from the train station so it’s very accessible.

Came to Dinant solely to see this view, finding it really quite striking and unusual, and really glad to have done so... it was lovely to see on a bright and sunny day.

Pour les visites il faut se renseigner à l’office qui est au pied du funiculaire
