Taking tram 1 is the best transport option between Gent-Sint-Pieters and the historic city center. While the ride is pleasant and journey time short, service is somehow infrequent especially with comprehensive construction works around the city. Anyway, tourists have to use De Lijn.

The worst service you can find in a country!! Avoid buying tickets from point of sale because they take you money and give you invalid tickets, which they do not want to exchange or reimburse money for it!! Never in my life I saw such a lack of respect and care for travellers. They simply rob your money and act like they are not responsible for anything. Such an awful experience is Belgium :(!!

Verdwaalde reiziger bij De Lijn? Dat is dan 107 euro boete. Klanten worden duidelijk beschouwd als melkkoeien, met medewerking van het controlerend personeel dat pretendeert van niets te weten. Een dikke onvoldoende voor klantvriendelijkheid.

Unreliable !!!!! Trams or bussen are never on time, connections are impossible. A lot of times they don’t even show up. The app is not much better and the screens showing when your transport arrives either don’t work or are wrong.

The tram system of Ghent is very well organized, smoothly operated and clean but it is very crowded.

Ninguna explicación en ningún otro idioma. Compré los tickets antes de montarme en el tranvía y una vez dentro no supe usarlo. Menos mal que el revisor no estaba, sino capaz de haberme multado por no haberlo validado a la entrada. El tranvía lleno y nadie se molestó en ayudar.

我在根特, 布魯日和安特衛普搭乘De Lijn，很方便，因為車票可以在手機買一買就可以使用了，很棒的搭乘經驗。搭電車上下車不用特地給司機看，搭公車從前門上車才需要把車票給司機看。

We used Le Lijn trams and buses in Antwerp and Ghent and found them often to be over-crowded and infrequent. Tickets cost 3 Euros per ride or 7 Euros for a day pass (4 Euros for children under 11 with ID to prove their age). You can use the day tickets throughout Flanders - that includes both Antwerp and Ghent.

gand è molto piccola e si puo' girare moto facilmente a piedi , la stazione dei treni è abbastanza lontana dal centro ed almeno in questo occasione dovrete usare li tram che sono comodi e veloci .

The local transport for Ghent is the Comprehensive Tram Lines & Buses.Lines are colour coded & numbered & are convenient to use for tourists.Frequency is very good on all lines.Tickets can be bought for single trips/day trips/3 day.Some older trams seats are old/dirty.Sometimes ticket machines are not working & validators on trams not always working either.otherwise everything is good
