Great tour!

I had a tour with Aya the other day - it was very small and intimate and Aya did a wonderful job talking about Ghent's history and showing us some cool local places (check out the "vélo" bar (look online)!! Thanks Aya for a great tour and you did a great job for your second day on the job :)

Paseamos durante casi dos horas. Nos explicó todo, lo hizo ameno y super interesante. Nos vamos con muy buen sabor de boca gracias a él.

Pd: gracias al esfuerzo de hacer el tour con solo 4 personas

Nice tour with Katia

We had a lovely experience with Katia today in Ghent. We were a small group of four so it was like a private tour. Katia covered almost all important landmarks and has a good comic timing. At the end she also recommended food places and nice bars .

where is the umbrella???

At the tourist office I found a flyer of Free Tours of Orange Umbrella, starting at 10.30am at the St.Bavo Cathedral. Waiting in the rain and stormy weather, no orange umbrella to be seen. A spanish speaking guide told me that they started at another meeting point and had left. Another tour started at pm, again no orange umbrella but the Spanish guy. Again I asked him where the English tour started. He called his collegue and finally found a small group, yellow hat and shawl, no orange umbrella. Apparently the morning was not done, not enough guides. And no Orange Umbrella for the English group as the guides had to share one umbrella. Finally the tour was ok, but the organisation terrible, especially as it was no pleasure to wait in the rain and knowing I had one day freetime in Gent and wanted to use every minute. At the end the guide had no money for change, so I gave her double the amount I intended to give.

THIS TOUR IS A MUST DO

I just had the one of best tours ever!! The tour guide was really passionate about the city and knew a lot of history!! To add to that he made tour fun interactive and really interesting!! Totally recomend it!!

We really loved our walking tour with Katia this morning! She touched on many interesting historical and comical facts about Ghent, keeping the tour very interesting and informative! Highly recommend this tour!!

Great tour by Katia! A good mix of history and fun facts. Enjoyed walking through the Marriott and experience the contrast between the old outside and the modern inside! Highly recommended tour.

Great walking tour!

Katia was a fabulous guide - charming, witty and kind. We were a small group and kept very entertained by the tour. I particularly like the history to the Marriott Hotel! She was also very knowledgeable about where to eat, cost of attractions etc. Do it if you can. And remember to tip!

We enjoyed the central city tour led in English by Katia.
In spite of the cold weather Katia’s charm, humor and vast knowledge, made the tour a wonderful experience. We, my wife and friends recommended all of you to try it out.
