We had a meal here, but should have wandered a few feet up hill to the main shopping street, which is more inviting. This is an open paved square, quite large with old buildings around. A few restaurants, not very good, are set up with umbrellas. Oppressive in the heat.

The street from the river to get here is a great walk. Not long just puts you in this City. This square very nice.

This big open square has a few restaurants with tables and umbrellas set up. But this is not the lively and interesting part of downtown. Walk up hill to the next block and you will find a long pedestrian street with more food options.

Una piazza molto triste, vuota di gente il sabato pomeriggio, solo un paio di ristoranti noiosi, pochi negozi. Una chiesa storica ma senza vita.

A very sad square, empty of people on a Friday afternoon, just a couple of boring restaurants, few shops. An historic church but no life.

Passear nesta praça é uma experiencia única, sente-se mais jóvem a ver a jovialidade dos e das estudantes universitários, e integrar-se na sua linguagem. Podemos tomar um copo ou deliciar numas imperiais nas multiplas espalanadas, e contemplar o movemento. Passei por lá por volta das 18.00 e não estava muito cheia..fiz tempo mas deu para contemplar o pouco movimento e sentir o pulsar de coimbra.

Nos sorprendió mucho al llegar ya que no hay prácticamente comercios en activo y para llegar desde nuestro hotel tienes que atravesar calles estrechas sin ningún encanto aún más vacías que la plaza. Luego subes unas escaleras junto a la iglesia de Sao Tiago y llegas a una calle peatonal mucho más agradable donde si que hay vida.

A plain square right in the middle of the city. It comes awake with the stories of what went on in the square. Framed by buildings of the day a must for visitors.

Camminare nel centro storico di Coimbra, e ‘faticoso perché le stradine sono salite ripide ,questa piazza in area pianeggiante comprende molti ristorantini e bar,e una bella chiesa che,come altre,è temporaneamente chiusa.

São sobretudo as lojas de artesanato e as esplanadas de estabelecimentos de restauração que se destacam nesta praça, um bom local para uma pausa depois de um passeio pela cidade.
Aqui podemos visitar as igrejas de São Tiago e de São Bartolomeu, com um pelourinho em frente, e alguns edifícios mais antigos.
