We took the Gloria uphill but he packed us in like sardines and we couldn't really enjoy the experience. It seemed like the driver could have taken off once the seats were filled.......but no, he added a lot of people standing up. otherwise it is fun and interesting g.

You are simply gonna love these charming tram lines that cross Lisbon in all directions. They are efficient, inexpensive and comfortable.
In Metro stations you can buy a 24 hour ticket (€6.40) that covers a day in the metro, the trams and the elevadors in Lisbon. That’s a bargain.

A trip or trips on the antiques trams is a must when visiting Lisbon. A great relaxed way to see the city. Just get on a tram and ride. It's best to get a one-day transit pass that covers the trams, the metro and the busses. Excellent value

Lisbon has an A+ transportation system. Not only does it have an excellent well maintained and complete metro system, but it also still uses antique Trams. I ended up using the metro to get from the airport to the city closer to the water. Then, I must have used the old Tram several times. The Tram really makes very abrupt movements. (Start and Stop, along with side to side). My opinion is that it works well when there are not many passengers. But, the whole system has trouble at about noon on Friday.

Excellent form of transport available on a regular basis in different parts of the city. Used as an alternative form of transport by locals and tourists- you can access them with the travelling card that applies to the metro, buses and trams, so long as you choose the correct format when purchasing the ticket. Offers great views of certain parts of Lisbon plus a taste of history - the trams originally were put into action in the 19th century and the historical features are still on show though they are now electronically powered. Well worth an experience though sometimes you need to be patient due them being very popular.

Trams are a fun, wonderful way to explore the hilly neighborhoods of Lisbon. They are an essential feature of Lisbon--don't miss the chance to take a ride. We took the Historic Tram tour that leaves from the Praco do Comercio, and it was a lot of fun.

Em Lisboa há muitas ladeiras e o bonde é uma excelente opção de transporte, pois além de charmoso, passa por ruas estreitas e diversos pontos turísticos. Há bilhetes 24 horas integrado com o metrô. Tem horários que o bonde fica lotado.

The tram and funicular network is all over central Lisbon. We took one of the 3 funiculars from Avenue da Liberdade on our walking tour of the city and it was a great way to avoid the climb. There is also an elevator.

Ik ga 3 dagen naar Lissabon ik wil graag een ticket kopen voor 3 dagen waar zowel tram bus en liften inbegrepen zijn hoe noemt zo een kaart en waar kunnen we dit kopen! Danku

Hi there is a metro station close by, along with bus stops. But not sure about the tram, but again it will only be a short distance away (I know there is stops near the main plaza 5mins away). It all depends where you are planing to go? Think about getting a day ticket as it is better value.

We bought our tram tickets at Rossio train station for the commuter trams. For the sightseeing trams we bought our tickets from a private shop where they sell all Ki ds of tourist trips however I can't remember which road the shop was on-there are a number of them in Lisboa central.

Hi,you can buy viva viagem card at every underground station. I purchased the same already at Lisbon airport station. The card is actualy a chip and you just load it with the amount whic you want. One day is 6 EUR which is really convenient since you can use it on all Carris trams, funiculars, buses and underground.You can charge it with 18 EUR for 72 hours usage.since we haven't visited a lots of museums, we decided not to take Lisbon card or something similar. Hope I helped you!
