Dear xke68, Your review is unfair and you know it! You rented bikes for 4 hours, you kept it for the all day (you were not charged for the extension). Everything was alright until you broke the key for the lock. You broke the key for the one of the provided locks, the second lock you had, exactly the same, did not have any issues.... Upon returning, you tried to negotiate, you would not give a bad review, if we did not charge for the key you broke. As we did not gave into your threat, Well, here it is. Dear Eva, Thank you for your input, We are rather disappointed by the content of you review. We offer different types of Bikes suitable for multi day trip, Touring Bikes with up-right position, Touring Bikes with dropped handlebars, Mountain Bikes and E-Bikes. The Bike you have booked well is advance was a Touring Bike Shimano SLX/LX 30 Speeds, Corresponding to the description on our website and to the photo as well. You rode the Bike from Lisbon to Faro without any issues or faults. We could see when you picked up the Bike, that you were looking for a different frame design (standard design for Touring Bikes). Just because you did not look the frame itself, it does not mean that there is something wrong with the bike. We are very sorry to despite not having any issues and riding smoothly for over 300kms You still did a review like this. Again, we are very sorry.

Thank you for your input, we are very sorry to receive this review, Especially when you purposely omit important info. When you first contacted us, you explained that you had ridden the Bike on your first day without any troubles. Bike worked fine on the first day you had it, without any issues, as it did when tested before being (when it was) shipped to you. Then on the second day you had the bike (when you called us), which was the first day of your Camino, you said that the Bike was not working right. As per your description it was erratic (as was your behavior, truth be said you then apologized on 3rd day). While accessing the situation we asked some questions and asked you to check some parts of the Bike, so we could understand what the problem was and how we could better support (help) you. For reason behind our knowledge you refused to answer or check any of those parts, to help us access your needs. Then you decided to call a different colleague to provide support for mechanical issue. That was fine. We concluded you got the same info. When we asked what as happened between "Bike working without any issues", To "Bike is no longer working", you mentioned that you took the Bike Battery off the Bike and left the Bike outside, during the night without a battery. By outside, it must be clarified (explained) that it was on a stormy, rainy night on the foot of the Pyrenees. All electric and sensitive parts of the Bike were exposed to the elements on a stormy overnight. And no, it has not happen before, common sense dictates that it is not a good idea to leave bikes overnight outdoors, let alone e-bikes. Guests renting Bikes, understand that Bikes (Electric or not) are not to be left outside during the night. If you had brought your own Bike, would you leave it outside during the night, without battery? Electric parts exposed while it was pouring down? If you did, most likely you would be facing the exact same issues. The lift you say (have) "found", you know it as well as we do, it is a taxi that we arranged to meet you, right? So you could go to the closest Giant® Dealer, so Bike could be checked by an independent and knowledgeable Mechanic. We arranged that to. Giant® Dealer, took a look at the Bike and indicated that bike had been exposed to extreme harsh conditions and was beyond repair at that point. We had a perfectly working Bike and now we have a Bike, that due to your own choices and lack of good judgment is not functioning. Because this situation is new to us, we do not know if we will be able to recover the Bike or is it for scrap now? We are very sorry that you won't be able to proceed your Camino on our bike. Still we cannot be made liable for your lack of reasonable (good) choices?
