Superou as minhas expectativas e fiquei maravilhada com a riqueza do palácio, quer a nível cultural quer histórico. Uma parte está a ser recuperada, mas é preciso continuar. Os jardins são magníficos e transportam nos para o século XIX. Os 10 euros mais bem gastos. Recomendo vivamente

The gardens are almost as beautiful as the palace. They are classic French style with labyrinths and lots of fountains on a Neptune theme. Great photo opportunity with the palace in the background. There is also a tile-lined basin with a little creek running through it. Some lovely trees and shrubs.

Heel mooi vroeg heen gaan dan heb je alle tijd om alles rustig te bekijken. Wij sliepen ook in het palacio er tegenover dus tja prachtig

The day we visited the palace the rain was really bucketing down, so we didn't get to leisurely walk the beautiful gardens ... but we could see them from various vantage points throughout our tour of the palace and could see that they wee exquisitely maintained and would have been well worth a visit if it hadn't been raining so hard.

The palace is midway between Lisbon and Sintra,takes about 15minutes to walk from the station. Some stunning rooms especially the throne room and I particularly liked walking around the gardens. Plenty of fountains and sculptures

The interior of the palace is covered in a separate Tripadvisor review. This is about the formal garden outside the palace. A unique and unusual sight here is the Tiled Ceramic Canal, where the walls of the shallow canal are covered with azuelejos tiles depicting scenes from the 18th century. The formal garden next to the palace is lined with numerous statues and dominated by a fountain with mythical figures in the center. Best of all, as this place is a hidden gem, there are few visitors to get in the way of your pictures. It is well worth visiting before the rest of the world finds out.

This is a must stop. The palace has so much French influence. It is hard to believe it was intended only as a summer residence. The palace and extensive grounds are beautiful.

This palace is amazing, & still used by the government for some functions. It's just beautiful, with perfect grounds and large numbers of gorgeous tiles (including a tiled canal!). Not many people venture to it, but it's worth the trip!

Un sontuoso palazzo settecentesco con marmi e stucchi dorati, giardini curatissimi, laghi ornamentali dove l’acqua sgorga da figure mitologiche: non parliamo di Versailles ma del Palácio Nacional de Queluz, a 5 km da Lisbona. Merita di essere pubblicizzata di più.

Amei!! Muito melhor que visitar o Palácio das Penas que está insuportávelmente lotado, tive qur visitá-lo como uma procissão..uma falta de respeito. Pra mim eles deveriam limitar as vendas por hora e vender apenas pela internet. Queluz é lindo e mostra muito mais como a realeza vivia. Achp qur os jardins mereciam uma maior atenção no quiseto flores !

I think they park right in front. There’s a lot of walking in the Palace and especially the gardens, however.
