My wife and I were visiting Porto on our cruise with Oceania Cruises and knew that it was a short day.
We usually book our own tours in ports and have found Tuk-Tuk is a great way to see any city in a short amount of time.
This was exceptional though.
The historic center is about 7 miles from where the cruise ships arrive. Francisco was waiting for us in his vehicle for a comfortable 15 minute drive to the historic area where our Tuk-Tuk driver/guide, Caterina, was waiting for us.
Caterina was very knowledgeable about the city and its history and architecture.
She brought us to the area where JK Rowling was inspired and wrote her first Harry Potter book. You could see the references all around.
The train station was a sight to see with the beautiful tile murals inside.
After about 2 1/2 hours Francesco met us and whisked us back towards the cruise terminal area and took us to a local family owned restaurant where the owners graced us with their seafood specials of the day and some local wine too!
A fantastic day and - thank you Francisco and Caterina for introducing us to Porto.

The halfday tuk-tuk tour was exceptional. Francisco picked us up at the hotel and did a short tour and viewpoint stop before taking us to the tuk-tuk starting point. Suzanna took over and we spent an amazing 90 minutes seeing many sites. She took us across the Luiz 1 bridge to a spectacular lookout point, and was also very knowledgeable about Porto architecture. Suzanna made sure we saw the authentic parts if the city and pointed out many interesting details. Afterwards, Francisco drove us to a family restaurant for a delicious seafood experience. Along the way we learnt a lot about Porto history, governance, sport, art and much more.
I highly recommend this tour; it's a must-do in Porto. Suzanna is an excellent guide and Francisco a wonderful host.

I am normally not somebody who hires a guide but I had never been to Porto and really wanted to know the history and get the most out of my trip. Alfredo Santos was awesome. Not only was he on-time he showed me unique places to stop. He was great to spend the day with ( did a private tour just me) He understood perfectly the right amount of time to spend in each place. He introduced me to Pachea The Wine House. The tasting was fun but the lunch was something In would fly back just to eat there again. Alfredo taught me about Porto and Portugals history. He helped me understand wine making in Portugal. He was fun to be with.......there is absolutely no question after having spent my entire life managing five star hotels Alfredo is the very best.........Ed

Hicimos un city tour en Oporto con lunch incluído y un tour a Aveiro .
En ambos fueron superpuntuales y Francisco , un guía de excelencia , nos pasó a buscar al hotel en un Mercedes Benz espectacular .
Conocimos lugares increíbles con las mejores vistas panorámicas . En ambos tours anduvimos en tuk tuk que es una experiencia que no se debe perder .
La empresa Prívate Tours Porto es muy recomendable y ya la agendé para mí próximo viaje .

Great experience .Porto is a fantastique City and we can visit a lot of lovely places in a half day tour.
