New airport, holy city

Deoghar is a city located in Jharkhand. The new airport (daily flight from Delhi) has helped improve access to the city. It is the gateway to several towns in the vicinity. The city (home of one of the 12 jyotirlings and one of the 51 shakti peeths) is of prime religious significance.

This place is unique in that both the Jyotirlina and Shaktipeeth are co located. There are many other smaller temples inside the premises. There are many Pandas and they do not charge much for a darshan and associated pooja. Another lord Shiva shrine is located about 45 Km on Devghar Dumka road, namely, Basukinath Dham. After darshan of Baba Baijnath Dham allmost all also make a trip to Basukinath Dham. There is one more very beautiful lord Krishna temple in Devghar, namely, Navlakha temple. Apart from this very important mandir complex, Devghar is famous for its pedas. Almost every other shop is a peda shop. The pedas are very tasty and worth taking home.

Deoghar is Located in the state of jharkhand.
It is a religious place to visit. Baba mandir or the baidynath temple which is one of the jyotirling is located here due to which this place has religious importance. Other tourist attractions in deoghar includes Nandan pahar, trikut parvat, naulakha mandir, rikhiya ashram, satsang ashram etc.

Deoghar is one of the 12 Jyothirlingas - Baba Baidyanath dham. The temple is around 10 kms from Jasidih railway station.

Other places to see are:

o Baidyanath Temple - 4:00 AM - 3:30 PM & 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
o Basukinath Temple (45 kms - Baidyanath) - 3:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Sunset to 8 PM
o Trikuta Parvata (20 kms from Baidyanath)
o Naulakha Mandir (2.6 kms from Baidyanath) and Tapovan

o Buy
 Beautiful Bangles (laah ki churri), mandit line (way to mandir). Beautiful bangles shops are available, on temple lane

Deoghar is famous for Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga and Trikut Parvat. There are many other temples to visit. Shravan Mela and Maha Shivratri is the main festival Deoghar. Millions of pilgrims visit every year during Shravan Mela. Deoghar is located in Jharkhand. Nearest Railway Station is Jasidih.

This is a holy temple to Lord Shiva. Many people from all over India come to this place with faith that Lord will save them from their respective problems. But In this place pandas of this temple are busy to loot from you.
If you really think to enter in this place, please remove all of your valuable things in the hotel room and lock the room with your own key.

shiva place....Har Har Mahadev

The city is small and not too great in terms of facilities but we went there to visit Jyotirling and it was a mesmerizing experience. This is our 11th Jostling and believe me, it was very humbling . Typical style Mahadev Temple and big rush of devotees but superb vibes . Very calm and soothing . Must visit for all devotees.In Deoghar, most important and 1st place to visit is Bathyanath Dham. Avoid Sunday and Monday as there will be huge rush. On other days around 1 in the afternoon, there is a big possibility to see very little crowd at temple. Further as per my assessment, hotel kamdhenu is excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner. This hotel is located right at tower chowk.
For this place this story is famous : As the name signifies .. Lord Shiva or mahadev resides here. As per Hindu mythology Ravana was being blessed by Lord Shiva to carry him as Shiva lingam but the condition was he must not keep it on ground. While carrying Lord in lingam form through jungles and mountains Ravana got tired and was restless as he was searching for a place to urinate. He gave the lingam to Lord Hanuman to hold it while he goes to be his own. Lord Hanuman kept it on the ground which in turn became permanent. Ravana got angry as he was unable to lift the lingam hence he tried to crush it by his foot. The lingam hence is deeply rooted here and you can only see and pray the tip of lingam. Take enough water as offerings as the person's who are there to offer prayers they become restless at times and during the tug of war to offer flowers and Ganga jail first they will push you.
