Si eres amate del vino debes de venir aquí. Aunque la carta de comidas no sea extensa, merece la pena pasar la tarde probado vimos de Grecia.
Nos atendieron con un mapa de la región vinícola para ubicarnos y pudimos probar una amplia variedad de vinos con su explicación.

Visited Wine O'Clock twice during a three night stay in Athens. Amazing service, polite, courteous, informative of the wines tasted, and unlike some places, not over pushy, informed of grapes, regions etc, and then left us to try them alone, popping out to ask our opinions.

A visit to the cleverly‐named Wine O'clock ‐ is it wine o'clock yet?? - began well as we were ushered to an inviting table outside. It was 9.45pm and still warm alfresco in good old Athens.
We examined the wine list after consulting the waiter, settled for two glasses of red Nemea.
We then waited and waited.
Eventually, two glasses appeared and we asked if the waiter wouldn't mind taking a photo of us on our last night in the great city.
We smiled at the photo and then my partner turned to reach for her small white handbag which although appearing in the photo, had suddenly vanished with no Dynamo in the vicinity.
It was a smoke and mirrors trick but the bag was nowhere in sight. We had seen no-one pass by.
Suddenly the waiter began running down the street inexplicably. We could almost hear the strains of Chariots Of Fire by the late great master of electronic music, Vangelis.
Oh, I thought, maybe he knows in which direction to run to catch the thief of a bag we had not described to him.
The owner (?) appeared and expressed great sadness and sympathy for the loss. He asked what was in there. We explained that there was cash, bank cards but fortunately no phone and no passport.
The waiter reappeared saying he was sorry but he had failed to locate the culprit. Then try looking in the mirror, eh pal? Is sleight of hand a requirement for this job?
The reason he was under suspicion was that he then vanished again, almost scared to interact any further.
A local police guy could not throw any light on the matter without a description of the criminal.
The owner poured more wine on the house which was gratefully received. But was this a cover-up? Where's that Poirot when you need him?
We have no proof, but the behaviour of these guys simply did not add up post‐incident.
Some later phone calls to the wine bar, increased our doubts. They were wriggling like fish caught in a net in the Aegean. They struggled to respond to our questions.
Something not right. If we are wrong we hope you like the story. But the whole experience, in the shadow of the greatness of the Acropolis, sucked.
Rubber Chicken not happy. This was a most distressing final night in Athens and we realised later that expensive prescription sunglasses were lost too.
Cards were cancelled and fraudulent attempts had been made to access one of these.
That's my Whine o'clock. Goodnight.
P.s. Joking apart, exercise caution. All is possibly not what it seems.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience at Wine o' clock, trust that all comments are taken into consideration as an opportunity for improvement, and we are sorry for the incident you had. Even though, any bar, restaurant in any city cannot be held accountable for the street criminality, the staff, including the owner, did everything within their power to recover the stolen items; they even called the police, as mentionned by you in your comments. Since finding and of course arresting the person(s) responsable, is beyond our power, and by fully understanding your frustration, we gladly offered you for free not only your initial order but also a second round. Within this contexte, it is quite difficult to understand your assumption that we had something to do with that, especially keeping in mind that what we offered you, cost more than what was stolen. Protecting the personal items, is the minimum caution everyone should take, especially while visiting a foreign country, you may need ths advise for future trips.

The kindest server made excellent vegetarian recommendations. Great wine selection, cocktails and beer! Had a delicious cheeseboard and the bruschetta is a must try!

We had a wonderful evening sampling Greek wines and enjoying delicious appetizers. We let Maria select wines for us to create flights covering white wines,, orange, rosè and reds. She made great selections and explained each wine, showing us on a map the region that the wines came from. The appetizers were innovative and yummy. We liked sitting street-side so that we could enjoy the ambience of Athens while we sampled and snacked. In the end, we left with two bottles of our favorites of the wines we sampled. We felt very welcomed, the prices were extremely reasonable and Maria made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Wine O’Clock!

This place was recommended by someone who had lived in Athens for 8 years, and it truly lived up to our expectations. It was pretty packed when our party of 6 arrived, but they managed to squeeze us in. The wine recommendations were very good, and the food platter with cheese and meat was excellent. A DJ made sure we had a variety of nice music and the staff was super friendly. What really makes this place great from my point of view is the location a bit away from the packed main streets. Definitely, a place to visit for tasting Greek wine.

Wir sind zufällig an der Bar vorbeigekommen nach dem Abendessen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst und auch beraten. Die Weine sind fantastisch und auch die kleinen Häppchen schmecken gut. Gehen gerne wieder hin.

Εξαίσιο! Πολύ γλυκό και ζεστό μέρος τόσο λόγω της ατμόσφαιρας της περιοχής όσο κυρίως λόγω της ατμόσφαιρας που δημιουργούν οι άνθρωποί του. Φιλοξενία που δεν σταματάει μόνο στη διάθεση, και γνώση που δεν περιορίζεται στη θεωρία και τα τετριμμένα. Καλύπτει τους πολύ απαιτητικούς και μυεί τους μη γνώστες. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ για τη φιλοξενία! Θα τα πούμε σύντομα:)
