We visited Kea as a part of our Yacht Sailing trip on Cyclades island.
Kea is a beautiful island and the mountain village of Loulida is incredible charm. The road true the road to the lion of kea is delightful and gives fabulous viewing points of Kea along the way. The some sculpture - you can not believe that is not a hand made - but the fact it is from the 6th century BC. must see!!!

Si raggiunge percorrendo un agevole sentiero che parte da Ioulis , sempre poco frequentato ed è un peccato perché questo gigante di pietra che domina sull isola con sguardo benevolo merita assolutamente una visita

Καλή η βολτα στην εξοχή, ετσι κι΄ αλλιως δεν εχεισ να κανεις και πολλα πράγματα στο νησί. Αν ο καιρός είναι για μπανιο προτιμίστε τη θάλασσα

Kea is een klein eiland waar nog een authentiek Griekse sfeer hangt. In het voorseizoen waarin wij er waren is het rustig, alleen in de weekends komen veel Atheners waarschijnlijk omdat het van uit Athene goed te bereiken is. Ook dan niet “te” druk.
Er zijn weinig bezienswaardigheden die je gezien zou moeten hebben.
Hoofdstadje is erg leuk.

Al leon se puede llegar andando por un bonito camino desde Loulida,pero como nosotros veniamos desde Korissia le dijimos al taxista que nos dejara lo mas cerca posible.Despues de unos 15-20 minutos por un camino muy facil llegamos hasta el leon.Resulta muy curioso ver este leon tan sonriente en medio de montañas,es lo que mas llama la atencion ya que normalmente los leones se representan como animales muy fieros y este tiene una amplisima sonrisa.Despues se puede volver al pueblo andando tambien por un camino muy facil y todo cuesta abajo.Todo el recorrido tiene unas bonitas vistas del pueblo al atardecer.Un bonito paseo

It was hard to reach this "lion" and we got completely disappointed. It's just a stone bad carved, nobady knows how old it is (50 years?). Don't go!

Molto bello il paese di Ioulis mentre la scultura del leone non soddisfa per nulla le aspettative. In sé non è nulla di artistico ed è molto difficile da raggiungere. Ci sono punti di Ikea molto più interessanti e belli.

Da vedere assolutamente, con una gradevolissima passeggiata dalla Chora di Kéa. Andate verso le 18 per godere dell'ombra e del vento fresco. Il leone che vi sorride sornione nella vallata è da non perdere.

Ok so we werent expecting much really but actually it was pretty cool. Its not that far out of town and a nice walk over. The Lion itself is very solid and much larger than expected
