The water has a wonderful color! It's like swimming in a pool! The beach is accessible on foot! And importantly if you don’t want a couch, just sit under the shade of the trees!!!

Beautiful beach, lots of sun loungers available and really reasonable for 2 and a parasol. Gorgeous beach, sandy and it gently shelves into the sea-you can walk out for a while in the sea before it gets too deep.
My favourite beach of our Greek island hoping trip, lovely beach bar, facilities and it’s not too busy.

Clean waters, sandy beach , easy access, very beautiful setting with rocky cliffs on the background. Ideal for couples and families with grown up children. Expect heat. Families with babies might need to seek for shelter.

Very popular sandy beach. Cute suitable for families with children. You can walk 50 meters and you always touch. Seen better than that. Umbrellas and sunbeds at reasonable prices like many other Greek islands. The low mark for the beach manager, the guy who pays for umbrellas and sunbeds. There are two types of Greeks, the kind and welcoming ones who are the majority and the rude slobs who don't really know how to address tourists. Perhaps unaware of their rudeness. Maybe.

Actually, we wanted to go to Kania Beach, but in view of the incoming tourists, we came here because the beach is much more extensive. Probably a good decision. All the loungers were occupied around noon, but a shady spot could also be found under the trees on the left. Since the landscape in the area is relatively barren (previous deforestation), not the full score. Nevertheless, a pretty beach with crystal clear water. For great photo motifs also run 200 meters to the left to the small white church.

Sandy beach, deckchairs for the day reasonable price of 10€. Rough welcome, do not move the deckchair to position it on the other side of the umbrella where is the shade, you must go stick to the neighbor ... not great. Restaurant simple, fast efficient correct rates and quality.
On the other hand the frozen cone at €7.50 at the bar is a bit exaggerated it seems to me.
Otherwise, many people, we see the waves of arrival with ferry times. Not my beach style.

AMAZING SANDY BEACH! The water is crystal clear around 27 C . Great frappe in the beach bar! Highly recommended if you want to spend a great time in a lovely beach! My favorit!

Thursday 6th July and we visited this beach, it is the nearest beach to the Town and Port of Emporio. This crescent shaped strech of beach, consisting of shingle and sand, it is located in a picturesque bay around the headland from the Port
It is just over four years since our last to Halki and this Beach. In that time it has certainly gone through a transformation.
Thankfully some things have remained the same Nicks Taverna and Beach Bar are still ther and the food is as good as ever.
There is still the wonderful view out across the bay with the Church of Halki, with it's blue dome and Cemetery, the rugged coastline with the windmills on the hilltop. Also near the entrance to the beach is the small charming Church of Saint Nektarios.
The raised section at the back of the beach has been extended and now has row upon row of sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, they are very close together, not much personal space. They are also the lower beach area, resulting in virtually no space for visitors to come and spread out their towels and beach mats for free. The size of the beach does vary the gentle tidal movement.
From memory, think it was €9 , for the day, yo hire two beds and an umbrella
Also along the back of the beach, nearby the Taverna, there are a number of cabanas, there was a sign indicating that there was a minimum spend €30.
There was also a variety of watersport activities available to hire.
Since this vast touristic expansion the beach has lost some of its character and charm. We only returned to have lunch at Nick's beach bar.

It was my favourite beach on the island. Crystal clear water & sandy beach. The beach bar is well organised with sunbeds and shower. The coffee is very good. Friendly personnel and good services.

You can rent a room exactly at Pondamos Beach. The price for 2 persons is about 70 euros per night. The room is completely renovated in 2018. We provide free air conditioning and wi-fi, free sunbeds at the beach, toiletries hand-made by a local master. We also provide for free fishing poles and bait, and rackets for playing beach badminton.
Also if you like to rent a whole house, not a room, you can have a look at villa Marianthi - this is the closest villa to Pondamos Beach.
