We took our time looking at the impressive Temple of Apollo and other ruins. I wished we had been able to spend more time in the museum which has notable artifacts such as the Corinthian helmet and spear. It was difficult to take photos because of light reflection on the protective glass cases. I loved the architecture of the museum because of its atrium.

In order to get to the museum we went by Taxi, which came out to €11 from the city to the museum, there is also a local bus but it wasn’t going very frequently so if you don’t have an touristic agency planned visit, highly recommend going by Taxi or car. The tickets include not only the pass to the museum, but also for the archaeological site, which includes the Apollo temple as well as the ruins of the city.
The museum Indoors with the part of it being open where the statues are. In the museum there are vases, human remains (skeletons), figurines old coins and many more. You can also find an old film about the city, as well as the wars in the ancient times .
The Museum is good place for solo visits, or a fun couples activity , as well as for families with small or older children. It is also not too steep so it’s not a problem if you have a wheelchair or stroller.
Estimating about two or three hours is needed to nicely explore the Museum and archaeological sites, as well as take pictures.

Very nice museum if you are interested in history. I strongly recommend taking a visit tour book or checking for guidance online (easily accessible) to know more about antique Corinth. I stayed for about 7/8 hours just visiting the ruins and learning about the development of the city.
Whilst it is outside, I do recommend going through the ruins of the theatre and the odeon. Make sure to catch the signs describing what you are seeing.

The archaeological museum of Corinth is located within the Archaeological site and is the first point of the tour.
It has an atrium with some statues and tombstones, the conservation hall and the exhibition halls.
It has gifts and figurines from the geometric times, statues and metopes from the Roman times where one can distinguish the transition in style. It is not big, but the relatively new exhibits of the Kouri twins recovered by antiquarians in 2010 together with the bones of the dead to whom they were dedicated and an intact Corinthian helmet deserve special attention.
The staff polite and helpful.

The museum is small and a little hard to maneuver through the crowds, but well worth visiting. It's just amazing the artifacts and the condition that they are in.

We went the day Storm Daniel delivered a month's rain in 2 days.
Therefore we had umbrellas and the whole of Ancient Corinth to ourselves....
UNITED KINGDOM visitors BEWARE...
They DO NOT allow reduced rates for students or Pensioners. They charge normal adult rates BECAUSE and I quote the ticket office lady...
"You are no longer EU, you pay full rates now!!"...
Extraordinary....
Good architecture sights.

The museum and site itself was very good....but was spoilt by being repremanded by 'overenthuiastic' staff. I am quite small and leaned over something to look inside (told off!). Later my foot went slightly too close to the writing on the wall (my eyesight is not so good and I could not read it)... told off again! If you do not want people to touch, put a barrier round as in other museums (I have visited many). This completely ruined the experience for me and I just wanted to leave.

It doesn't seem like a big museum, but it does have a lot of exhibits and artwork. A surprise around every corner!

The museum was a surprise
Clean, explanatory inscriptions, very interesting finds
It is easily accessible and has ample parking
It had several Greek and foreign visitors and the staff was very helpful

Did you take this tour out of Athens and did you have a guide explaining what you were looking at? If so what tour company did you use?

Yes, we took the tour with Athens included. Unfortunately we did not have a guided tour inside the museum as our driver only have licence to show us around the city and not inside the museum. But we had a guide map with all the points we wanted to see inside.
