The only bar in the country that specializes in proper real cask Ale, no gas, and experts at it! Many other premium beers on tap. Very relaxed place, busy at peak times but worth it if you like beer. Staff very casual but knowledgeable, and lots of regulars. Not cheap but not expensive either. No smoking inside, but happy smoking patrons will be hanging out in the street at all times. You will have a great time here, whether introspective loner or extrovert party animal looking for a talk. Ask for the school teacher in the bar and Ill buy you a beer and discuss the merits of various cultures and civilisations with you 🙃

Fantastic pub in the middle of the city.
They serve great beers and ciders, the choice of whiskey is huge.
The atmosphere is warm, the person at the bar is highly prepared and helpful with customers.
Strongly recommended!

Mycket trevlig engelsk pub, med utmärkt utbud av öl. Alltid fem olika cask ales, som ständigt byts ut. Ingen musik, utan puben är något så ovanligt som en miljö att prata med varandra. Ofta engelska stamgäster vid bardisken.

Was visiting Copenhagen and trying some of the less popular dive bars and found Charlie’s, on the night we visited it was very quite but the few people in and barman were very friendly, the bar as lots of beers to choose from and felt more akin to an English bar but worth a stop off if visiting Copenhagen

This place is a very small pub located in the heart of the Old Town.
It is off the main streets, so not so crowded.
The place offers only its own microbrews, which is nice to go away from the industrial Carlsberg and Tuborg generic beers offered everywhere else.
The beers go out for about 7-9 Euros.
There are a few seats available at the front, back and a handful at the bar counter.
The crowd is more composed of tourists than locals, but that gives a good opportunity to chat and meet people.

Meget hyggelig ølbar med bartendere som er til at tale med. Jeg var dog ikke så vild med ølene, men det skyldes nok at min smag ikke er i den britiske stil.

The tankards on the ceiling belong to the regulars & as you can see they have a lot of regulars, very unusual for a city centre bar. In there Fri, Sat & Sun at different times. Each time fell into good company, be it Irish, English or Danish. A very welcoming bar, both bar staff & patrons. No TVs which is great, encourages people to talk to others. Good & varied beer selection. 5 real ales on tap though I would recommend you check out Inveralmond brewery, a Scottish brewery, Lia Fáil & Ossians, 2 good beers they do. Will definitely recommend this place to anybody I know going to Copenhagen.

What a great place! The choice of drinks was amazing and the service was friendly and genuine. Great atmosphere as well with both locals and tourists filling the place. Would recommend if wanting a good pint in Copenhagen 😄

We were delighted to find Charlie’s Bar! A real home from home if you fancy a night off the gassy lager and want to enjoy a decent ale. Traditional pub snacks on offer too.
