Couple and three grandchildren. The castle has been completely refreshed. A very erudite guide gave us some exciting comments. The guide is indispensable if we want to know the malicious intentions of Roger de Bussy-Rabutin. Beautiful garden and a funny maze.

Der Besuch des Schloss Bussy -Rabutin lohnt sich nach den letzten Renovierungsarbeitn in 2023 in jedem Fall. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine mehrsprachige interaktive Einführung in die Geschichte des Schlosses bzw. seines berühmten Besitzers. Diese sollte man je nach eigener Vorbildung nutzen, um die Räume bzw. Exponate besser zu verstehen. Auch die Parkanlage bzw. der kleine Garten sind noch ein paar Minuten wert. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Very beautiful castle rich in portraits.
It's a shame, however, that there is no guided tour, especially since the kindness and availability of the staff could give a big plus to the discovery of this monument rather than referring to a leaflet.

A fairytale castle with towers, water moats and magnificent gardens. Roger Bussy-Rabutin did not have his tongue in his pocket and it shows! This gives this visit a little rebellious side which differentiates it from classic castle visits.

Beautiful castle, state-owned and therefore entirely visitable. Divided into 2 parts, one of which was renovated in the 19th century while in the other part you can see many paintings and decorations. Brochure also in Italian.

Even though this castle has been in state ownership for almost a century, it appears that a lot of restoration work still needs to be done on the outside. The sleek French garden with mostly green plants is well maintained, but at the back erosion has seriously affected the ornamental towers and restoration is urgent. Pop in and take a look at the extensive painting gallery and the furnished castle rooms.

Hi - I know the Château is closed midday, like many sites in rural France. I'm wondering if only the actual building is closed until 2pm or if the grounds - including the gardens - are closed as well.
