Shot bars have nearly disappeared where I live.
But they live on in Helsinki. And we had a hilarious Sunday night experience here during Midsummer. We had the place mostly to ourselves, which was good because they only have one little area suitable for people with short legs - all of the rest of the seating is impossibly high.
The bartender was a load of laughs and was ready to tell us what to drink, what would knock us out and what would taste better. We ended up having three shots, with a suitable water chaser. We nursed the shots, unlike the three other people who came in, span the wheel of fortune, and had their shots poured and drank within ten minutes!
Music might be a little loud, but the decor is great and the list of shots covers an entire wall!
It was around the corner from our hotel. I could see going there every night under different circumstances.

My group has never experienced such abrasive and appalling customer service. The bartender (potentially owner) was not only impolite, but also made comments that made the whole group very uncomfortable and feel negative energy in the environment. Granted he was working alone and busy, but aggressively told us to hurry up and get the f*** out. Still, we continued to treat him with kindness and respect. The tip of the iceberg was that, completely unwarranted, he threw a bucket of big, hard ice cubes at my face from across the bar. I was so shocked I did not know what to say and he simply laughed, no apology or anything. I am fortunate that his reckless and aggressive behavior did not leave me injured or in the hospital. The previous time I had been there with a couple of girlfriends, a different bartender made lewd and nasty sexual remarks about us. After giving the place a second chance, I say with utmost confidence that I will never be going back and do not recommend this service to anybody. I have zero respect for the shotbar.

A fun experience and a must-have on your list of pub rounds. Shot bar is at its best when you and your friends are the only ones there to gamble on the spinning wheel. Incredibly kind staff. The girl behind the counter had already poured up my shot when she figured I was vegan (one really should say it every 10 minutes), but gave me a new spin, free of charge.

Были с друзьями в Хельсинки и решили устроить мини трип по пабам города, это один из лучших.

After searching Helsinki for casual spot to just sit and have a beer on a Sunday night, we stumbled upon The Shot Bar. Bartender/owner was great, comfortable atmosphere and cheap drinks!!
