Being a sunday it was closed, rather disappointed, but set in a lovely building and from looking through the windows it looked fun. check before you visit.

If you are a toy collector or toy lover this is an excellent place to visit. Visiting the museum with young children is a wonderful experience, you relive the child in you.

This lovely museum, dedicated to old toys, has been a nice discovery in Akureyri. The museum started from a private collection and now displays dozens of dolls, toy cars, fairytales books from Iceland and abroad.
The museum is hosted in the building of the Independent Order of Good Templars.
I recommend even a short visit to this enjoyable attraction.
