A faire pour avoir une belle vue d’ensemble. La ville n’est pas bien grande donc il est aisé d’y accéder rapidement. Bémol sur l’état de la vitre à nos pieds qui nous empêche d’en profiter à 100%. Je recommande.

Leuk om te doen, ook al duurt het kort. Keer wat anders en mooi uitzicht. Lift gaat heel snel en het is gratis. Het lag iets meer buiten centrum dan verwacht, maar mooie locatie.

It was a pretty cool view. Might as well check it out because it’s free. Did you itself isn’t anything crazy but it is a nice walk over there too so if you have some time I would recommend it.

This was the first thing I did in Luxembourg. Take note the road leading to this lift is cobble stone so wear appropriate shoes. I had a hard time in stiletto. Nonetheless , elevator to to up to the lookout point is free and there is a glass around and on part of the floor. It offers gteat views of the city and surrounding area. A definite must visit

Leuk om toch even te doen, en nog gratis ook. Het is jammer dat de glasplaat was dof wordt, de ervaring wordt daardoor wel iets minder spannend, maar toch nog een leuke attractie.

The views were quite good, although they were the same, if not worse, then the views which you could get from the red bridge about 5-10 mins away from the bridge, albeit less noisy.

We were on our way to Trier from Bruges, and just "happened" to be passing through Luxembourg. Not really, I think our route was taking us that way. We had never been to Luxembourg or Luxembourg City, for that matter, so a good opportunity to see both. A nice benefit is that the City of Luxembourg, its old quarters and fortifications are on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
We took a few hours of our journey to pay this fine city a visit. We drove down into the valley of the Alzette River, found parking, wound our way through the streets of the wonderful old quarters of Pfaffenthal to the lift. This wonderful elevator, was built in 2016, is over seventy meters high, accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists, cost is free and connects the Pfaffenthal area with the Ville Haut Historical City. The glass covered lift offers up very scenic views of the Alzette River valley and the Pfaffenthal quarters below. This trip was a bit of a whirlwind affair, but if you are pressed for time as we were, the lift allows you to get a pretty good view of what makes Luxembourg City a city that is of World Heritage City status.
We did a wander through the old town and then wound our way back along the top of the river gorge, which effectively separates the city. There are some very interesting sites to be seen. Unfortunately, time was limited, but perhaps, our journeys will lead us back. It is a beautiful city and the elevator is a very nice way to approach it.

Glazen lift die de bovenstad met de benedenstad verbindt. Fijn om eens te doen met kinderen,maar echte highlights van de stad zie je niet echt van hier.
