Take a Tram direction LuxExpo ( note that all the public transport is free in Luxembourg) and get off at the stop "Philharmonic Mudam". You are now in the midst of Office jungle with nary a signpost in sight. ( Typically Luxembourgish) Cross the road, go down the side of the big white building , past the Melia Hotel until you see a glass topped building. Mudam.
If you go 100 yards further to the wall, you have one of the best views of Luxembourg.
The Mudam is three stories, but today two were being "rehung" which means a building site with packing cases. Shame they didn't tell us when we bought the tickets.
The remaining floor was very sparsely filledand only two pieces stick in the memory.
A collection of about twenty paintings, approx one foot square of squares in red and yellow,
Looked like the wall of my wife's pre-school class,
Second was a set of shiny, plastic covered black cubes . Apparently you have to move one a day. Can you imagine in the morning
Wife " Did you move a cube?"
"Yes"
"Well put it back, I moved one when I made the coffee!"
There was also the mandatory pile of bricks, this time cascaded with old recording tape.
Overall, Take the tram going the other way to Bonnevoie and get off at the Vauban Museum. Proper art and lots of it.,

Dieses Museum ist eine Reise wert! Die Räume sind teils luftig, teils intim und immer wieder mit Überraschungen bestückt. Mit der kostenlosen Tram ist man in etwa 25 Minuten vom Bahnhof auf dem Kirchberg. Der Eintritt kostet zur Zeit (März 2023) 8 Euro.

the building is beautifully designed and worth seeing. The art is randomly displayed without explanation and is disappointing. Nice cafe and area. Fire the curator

Haben eine Führung auf Deutsch gemacht. Die war interessant , ergab aber nur einen kleinenEindruck. Die Architektur des Gebäude ist beeindruckend. Die Ausstellung war interessant

Luxemburg hat im Norden sehr schöne Radwege. Die hügelige Landschaft und die schönen Ortschaften sind sehr interessant.
Auf einer Viertagestour konnte ich dies intensiv erleben.
Nur südlich der Stadt Luxemburg sind die Radwege nicht so gut durchgängig beschrieben, was mich wunderte, da hier die Kulturhauptstadt Europas liegt.

No signs directing you, hidden amongst he trees. Lovely building with lots of space but little to see. Areas were closed sue to new works being constructed. There were people outside working on the building with masks on and the smell inside was not pleasant. The cafe was good.

Liked more the structure than the exhibition. Staff were so available and nice, nice cafe inside. Price is average, really good for students (free entrance <26). Interesting.

We took in six different exhibitions, all well organized, with most including an overview brochure. Though only two of the presentations appealed to us, we appreciated the care MUDAM puts into organizing each of its exhibitions. MUDAM is easy to reach from the free Luxembourg City tram.
