Wow Marcus is awesome, friendly and knowledgeable . He is also flexible unlike some other tour guides we’ve had this week .
His knowledge of Austria and sound of music details is incredible . And watch out if you do not want to know the truth about the movie !! Lol he also has good spots to dine !

We were a family of 7, nicely timed covering all 3 major attractions in the Berchtesgaden region (Eagle’s Nest, Königssee Lake and Berchestgaden Salt Mine). Our guide ‘Markus’ shared detailed information about each location, very flexible during our stops and had great hospitality.

We met Marcus when he drove us from Salzburg airport to our hotel. We mentioned that we were going to take a Sound of Music tour and he told us he was a tour guide. We booked for a private tour the following day.
Marcus was highly knowledgeable about not only the Sound of Music but also Salzburg and Austria. He was extremely helpful and spoke perfect English (none of our group speaks German). He also told us he speaks fluent Spanish too!
As a group we all agree that we can't recommend Marcus enough. It cost us a little more than the price of the most popular tour group, however, the extra money was well worth it for a small group tour (4 of us), pick up at our hotel and drop off at the location of our choice. We will definitely be recommending Marcus to our friends.
