Die Akerselva ist der Fluss, der durch Oslo fliesst. Wir sind bei der Beierbrua gestartet - das ist eine Brücke bei einem der grösseren Wasserfälle. Von hier aus kann man dem Fluss via Uferweg folgen (teils sogar beidseits) und trifft auf viele lauschige Plätzchen, unzählige kleinere und grössere Brücken, kreative Ecken, Restaurants etc. etc. unterwegs.

The walk upwards the short Akerselva river is easy but very rewarding. Starting near the Gronwald station it leads gently upwards to three waterfalls, each one growing bigger and more impressive. You walk right tthrough the city center, and the old industriia area, on a path covered with trees and crossing old bridges (information provided). We didn't walk the entire lenght, you can turn back any time.

Une autre façon de découvrir la ville, c'est de longer la rivière. On traverse des quartiers intéressants, Il y a de jolis ponts et des cascades.

Surprising walk along the river. The first part from the city center is not interesting but it gets better and better the further you go. Some nice (street) art and waterfalls along the route.

Wir sind nur ein Teilstück dem mitten in der Stadt verlaufenden Fluss auf dem Begleitweg gefolgt, immerhin mit diversen Brücken und Wasserfällen. Eine kurze Auszeit vom Stadtgetümmel, die man an diversen Stellen beginnen und/oder beenden kann.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along the river. It's fascinating. from the centre out you won't be bored. Creative spaces around the river at the beginning give way to charming natural spaces including an incredible waterfall. Learn something about Oslo's history and have a great walk in the process. Highly recommended.

We walked the paths beside the river, all the way from the National Arts school, all the way in to the downtown area. It takes you past waterfalls, parks, and some little hidden gems. A very relaxing thing to do.

It’s a fabulous stroll from Vaterlandsparken near the sea along the scenic picturesque river to Alexander Kiellands plass and the Labour Museum.
Along the route are grand bridges. One is the Ankerbrua Fairytale Bridge with great sculptures at each corner inspired by Norwegian fairytales.
Aamodt Bru and Love Lock are another pair of crossings that are worth perusing.
Back in the 19th and 20th century the river was a hub for industries, particularly textiles, which utilised its power for machinery and the water for transport of goods. This fascinating history is well documented in the Labour Museum.
Numerous white water and waterfalls dot the river. One at Molla is deemed the highest and is impressive.

Walk along the river banks was really enjoying! We had fresh pears from the trees there. Though it was not very clean there, simply the greenery added it’s beauty. It was good as my visit was in summer.

Jolie promenade au bord de la rivière. Elle passe de l’ombre au soleil et est agréable à faire lorsque il fait chaud. Quelques espaces pour manger sont éparpillés le long de balade

Akerselva is shorter and more narrow. No boats can travel the river. The river is also "wilder", due to obstacles and waterfalls. The river starts from the lake where Oslo get its drinking water, and you can follow the river by feet or bicycle the 8,2 km long river. Enjoy!
