Hi there. You can definitely come without children. We are a magical apothecary with lots to look at for any age! Even adults need to check out their magic levels on the magic-o-meter, and might appreciate such products as the Middle-Aged Vitriol 'potion', with side effects such as unwarranted sarcasm, selective deafness and squeaky bottom burps. (NB - humans may use this potion as 'bath salts', we are told). We also have books for grown ups in our Forgotten Library, and if you do want to buy anything from us, we offer a warm, fuzzy glow that comes from helping our literacy charity. Hope to see you soon!

Hi Liz! Apologies for the delay in replying. We are a children's literacy charity, working with children and schools, but we also do out-of-school activities for children and young people aged 7-18. However, we do also have a fantastical apothecary catering to the needs of magical beings, and recently, human customers. We would love to see you and your daughter in the apothecary - there is lots to see, including our museum of magical artefacts, our forgotten library (where you can sit and read, and take a book home with you), and our magic-o-meter (where you can check out how magical you are). Your daughter can also take advantage of our fairytale mail service, writing a letter to a favourite character, and getting a reply within 7-10 days (via owl, of course). We are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and on Thursday afternoons (to allow the dragons and giants to shop in peace). Hope to see you soon!
