This pub has good drink and food choices and friendly staff but when the sports is on it is completely taken over and it’s difficult to have a conversation. So only good for people who watch sports!

Great bottomless brunch! Amazing value for money. Food was delicious and great range of drinks that you wouldn’t find in other places. Staff very attentive, especially Matt, who made sure that we were well taken care of. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a break in the centre of Bedford!

I rarely write reviews, but in the case of this venue I felt it was worth the effort. I visited on an unremarkable Tuesday afternoon / early evening and spent a very enjoyable time there, and while it was not my first visit, it was another occasion which demonstrated the consistently high level of service offered here. The venue itself is both pleasant and comfortable, with plenty of space, tables, a nice outdoor area for warmer months and most importantly a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. On this occasion this was largely due to the friendly efficiency of Kevin, Hannah and Victoria who were on duty behind the bar that day. The Rose seems to be able to successfully combine the qualities required to be a popular late night weekend venue, a great sports bar and a typical welcoming local pub.

Not a bad place but when the door man on a Saturday night spends 30 mins sat at a table flirting with 2 girls I wouldn't say that's ideal or worth the money the pub pays for security.
