Went to see Tuffers and Aggers and had a terrific night. What a brilliant venue; parking was easy, everything was well signed, staff were polite and helpful and the seats were really comfortable allowing plenty of legroom and space between other guests. We were located near the back but could hear and see everything in what was a sell out. Excellent.

We visited the venue to see Ralf Fiennes in the film the menu. This is a superb place to watch a film where you have sofas, plenty of legroom and even easy access to the loo. I look forward to re-visiting to watch more films.

First time at a cinema event at Westlands, very impressed with this venue. It made a pleasant change to go to the cinema in the morning and to have a nice cuppa and a treat prior to the start of the film.
Staff were very warm and welcoming. The facilities are great, clean and well maintained.
Next time would have a sofa seat when watching the film, the seating on the terrace were a tad hard although the view was great, sound and lighting excellent. Thoroughly recommend these facilities for a film - plenty of free parking too. Enjoyed my viewing of the film Lancaster it was superb on the big screen - thank you.

The bar is a joke. Half a dozen queues snaking through the entire dining area, ruining everyone’s experience. I cannot see what the problem is but venues with much smaller bars and fewer staff manage similar-sized audiences without such a pathetic mess. The seats are pretty uncomfortable too and it is completely unventilated which isn’t great with a virus that medics are still moaning about

I have not been to this venue before to a cinema event. However having felt somewhat starved of theatre during lockdown I decided to be brave and go the National Theatre streaming of 'All my sons' by Arthur Miller. Thought the play was fantastic but really impressed by the organisation in the current circumstances. Sofas and armchairs all suitably distanced. With about 20 people or so there, I was several metres away from anyone else and of course, not facing anyone. Everything was cleaned, one way system in operation, 2m distancing in force etc. I will definitely book to see Present Laughter next week. Being able to get out and start doing some 'normal' things again, albeit in a slightly different way, is truly refreshing.

I went to the dance with live band “The Swing Commanders”. I have been attending dances for many years, but this was the first time I have been told precisely on which chair I must sit! The tickets came with allocated table and seat numbers. Why was this necessary? Because my friends, acquaintances and I had bought tickets separately, we ended up scattered about the vast dance hall. We could not sit with each other as other people wanted to keep their seats.
When I found my table, on opposite sides of the room from some friends, there was one other couple there. I sat by them and engaged in conversation, which was interrupted by another couple saying I had to move as I was in their seats. I then found myself at the back of the table with no one to talk to, as the people seated next to me were late arriving. I was also surrounded by people I did not know, and who did not know me, many of whom came from a different dance genre, anyway.
I just do not understand why, unlike other dances, there was this compulsory seating arrangement. (And, for what it is worth, I would have thought the lights could have been dimmed a bit when the dancing began).

We saw Show of Hands here and nearly everything about the experience was good. Smart venue - excellent acoustics and cheerful willing staff. BUT we booked for a meal before the show. arrived at 6.30 and ordered. Arrived at 7.20. Meagre portion of scampi and count the chips for £9.0 - pretty bad - bolted down so as not to miss the show. Clearly the venue is not organised to meet this sort of demand. Get it together please!

We recently decided to try the High Tea being offered at a performance of the Mikado. What a disappointment!
Usually everything put on at the venue and The Octagon is first rate. Indeed the film screening of The Mikado was superb and the venue is so comfortable with the sofa seats. I would however give the high tea a poor rating. The quality was poor with 6 sandwiches without crusts taken off, 2 pieces of cake one of which was uneatable and a scone with cream that had come out of being frozen and had no taste. You did not even get a pot of tea but a cup with a tea bag and water not at boiling point.
It saddens me to warn patrons not to waste their money on this!

Yet another great night at the Gin festival. A good atmosphere with local musicians
performing in the lounge bar and the ballroom.
A good menu was on offer for the evening. We had the falafel & spinach burger with skinny fries and a side salad. It was very tasty, the fries were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. It was all very well presented.
Well done to all the staff who work so hard and make these events a pleasure to attend. Jane B

Decided to go along to the Gin Festival hosted at the Westlands Entertainment Venue. What a fantastic evening. Sampling a plethora of gins and recirculating be a master class in creating your own blends. Some great providers and some absolute new gems of gin discovered.
The venue is a great place for this sort of event being able to cater for such a vast array of stands and being able to provide bands of different genres the capability of playing simultaneously without getting in each other’s way is great. I have been to a number of events at this venue including Brain Blessed and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Everytime has been a great experience ensured by the great staff they have supporting the event.
The venue is a great place for this sort of event being able to cater for such a vast array of stands and being able to provide bands of different genres the capability of playing simultaneously without getting in each other’s way is great.
