This is an iconic church in a beautiful setting & with such an interesting recent history on how it was saved from being flooded by the reservoir . Lovely walk from the church up to the Epingham dam .

So glad that this was saved from the water, it is stunning to see this unique church contracting with the reservoir that it out dates considerably.

Worth a brief visit to see this iconic landmark on Rutland Water. On entering the car park turn right to access a small parking area closer to the path towards the church..

The church was left when the reservior was made and only the top survives, it's strange and does not "feel right". It has little to attract itself to a visitor but if you are at Rutland Water it's worth the short walk to see it but don't have great expectations.

Nothing outstanding about this church, other than the location.
Certainly a focal point, from Rutland Water.

An iconic landmark on the shore of Rutland Water. It can be accessed by the boat trip, walking or cycling or a short walk from a nearby hotel or car park. It's now used for weddings and events.

Unusual former church that sits just out into the lake with a nice little walk down from the nearby carpark.
Too many people and bikes... need to have a separate cycleway, it's not very safe as it is.

I've visited twice, once at sunrise and once on a clear afternoon, both were absolutely stunning. The church is beautiful.

A beautiful building sitting on its own "island" by Rutland Water, it uis no longer a place of worshipbut and interesting place to visit.

Hello I am attending a wedding on 7thsept and use a mobility scooter can I get to the church on this or is it Possible to get our car up to church thank you

They normally only allow wedding cars to church, it it's a fare walk from car park to church,but accessable with wheel chair

Yes you can park closer but it is still quite a long walk too it.
