Absolutely stunning walk very flat. Great for dog walking very clean and beautiful scenery. Lovely place to walk as a couple. Route is very easy to navigate. The whole route was very well kept and maintained . Great place to see local life aswell.

We love the Derwent walk,we began next to Blaydon rugby club then along to thornley woods then back along to the land of oak and iron cafe then back to the opening near the rugby club.When we first began the walk we went at a slower pace so that we could take in the trees,nature etc things you miss when you walk faster.Im so pleased we did because there’s some fascinating trees to see.The other walkers here are so friendly and we spoke to some lovely people and dogs on our walk.

We parked in Winlaton Mill although when we crossed the road we noticed an overflow car park with spaces. The paths were mainly good and dry even after all this wet weather and theres a good choice of circular walks. We did the "full loop" of about 6 miles. The scenery is lovely.

My granddaughter loves it here. Such a lovely park, the butterfly garden is cute, we picked blackberries and walked by the river.

A lovely country park , a clean and safe place to walk our dogs. It can get quite busy in good weather, with dog walkers, runner's, horse riders and cyclists. You can nearly always see the red kites flying and if you're lucky deer, otters and Kingfishers.
There is disabled parking and access, a cafe and toilets.
I can highly recommend a visit.

we found this place by accident. free parking in the car park. coloured walks and easy to follow paths. so peaceful. we did the orange walk today then called into the lovely cafe for a pot of tea. lovely place to visit.

This time we walked the sculpture trail. The paths are well maintained and the way markers are very good. The paths were not at all muddy despite the horrendous wet weather recently. There were no serious obstacles or steps to put off less able visitors. We particularly enjoyed the tree sculptures if animals and birds.

On a recent bike ride we rode through this fabulous park. It is big enough for walkers and cyclists, very pretty and well maintained too. Great coffee shop !

Perfect flat ground walking or wander into the woods. Great walk for young kids with bikes and great for dogs. Peaceful and quiet with the Derwent river flowing by.
