Visited while staying at forest holidays. Good place to visit. Not too expensive. Better than i expected. You need a good imagination to find items listed. Good fun though. More tracks than i expected. Nice place for a picnic after also.

Overpriced!

We visited this place as we were intrigued on the fact it was used to film some of Star Wars. No pricing until you actually get in there and even then I didn't see any actual prices until guy showed me the chip and pin machine showing £35! That's for x2 adults and x2 children so I was expecting it to be good, in reality it was over within 30mins! Yes it's beautiful and we got some nice photos but £35 is daylight robbery in my opinion, especially given it's a natural area of beauty anyway! As others have said, overpriced which really leaves a bad taste in the mouth, definitely wouldn't recommend unless pricing is reviewed which I suspect it won't do...

Nice woodland with small farm/ play area

Bit pricey for a family but the kids loved walking around the beautiful mesmerising woodland. Be aware no signed trails so could spent couple of hours just walking around. Also a small farm and play area which kept the kids entertained for a little bit. Short drive from Coleford.

How much?!

Capitalism at it worst - woodland should be free for everyone to enjoy. The prices are hidden (presumably on purpose) so you don’t know how much it is until you get in. £27 for a woodland walk is disgraceful, really spoiled what is a truly beautiful area for us as we felt tricked.

Dogs not allowed - not worthy

Dogs are not allowed in a forest… this is so weird. We have been in so many farms which allow for dogs and animals create a special bond. In a farm animals are used to dog, live with dogs. Also, there are only a few parts with farm animals majority is the forest

Good fun to explore

Good fun, lots to explore, animals to see on the little farm as you walk into the woods. Cafe there, lots of parking. We arrived just after 10 on a Sunday and there were only afew other people, started to get a lot busier by 11.

So glad we found this little gem!

What a fabulous place from the easy parking, friendly welcome, cute animals and then the amazing walk into the woods. We loved it! Created from iron ore extraction and an old mine, the wood is most definitely a puzzle with twisting root pathways, stone steps and mossy rock formations. This would be a bit challenging for some and definitely no pushchairs or wheelchairs in the woods. It took us about 1 hour and 10 minutes but we missed out a couple of nooks and crannies. We enjoyed looking for faces in the rock formations. It can be a bit slippery in places as not much sun gets in to dry some areas but just take appropriate footwear. There are many branch fences along the route to hold onto. We earned our drink and Bakewell tart at the end from the cafe and it was most pleasant sitting on a picnic table watching the goats and ducks.

Fab woods but take a picnic in the car.

Killing time waiting to enter our holiday home, we decided to visit puzzlewood. We weren’t disappointed with the wood it was very atmospheric and quiet, as only just opened. The only let down I feel is the catering side, obviously gets busy by the number of seats. Agree with previous post you could really do with a map

Overpriced for what it is . Hugely busy so you are simply crowded in with others who were also looking for the way back to the car with a fed up look . Had to the leave the dog at theholiday home, would have been fine on a lead - bit over the top with rules for what is a wood
