I played the course with my wife and son , we also had 3 dogs with us ( we behaved and on leads ) we were constantly greeted with friendly comments from members as well as staff , in particular Andy in the pro shop who couldn’t be more helpful . Great track in excellent condition ,superb value as I used our county cards , i you play a few courses in this area don’t miss this one .

Had Sunday lunch carvery and it was excellent. Staff very attentive and the food delicious. Happy atmosphere ,looking forward to next one. Well done to all.

Picturesque course with a nice range of trees. We were a 3 ball, behind a 4 ball and felt very sorry for the ladies 3 ball behind us who were being pushed by a ladies individual match and didn’t have the courage to tell the match that they would just have to wait.

Good course with being defensive and straight off the tee. Fairway very comfy soft grass! Greens excellent with tough placements to guard the course. A few shouts of 4 course but no problem. Shop guy very friendly and welcoming even though stressed as card machine not working. We loved the 8th hole attractive from both tee and green. Got away with the drive, missed the water but just short on the approach so pleased with a 6. Another hidden course which is worth a visit. We will try and play again if time.

Nice course with plenty to challenge all levels of players but not daunting to those who play off a high handicap. Well kept and pretty course, greens are very good. 9th is a cracking hole but can go wrong very quickly!
Very friendly staff and members, I was made to feel welcome on the occasions I have been. Well worth a visit and very reasonable green fees.

IHaving moved to Devon nearly four years ago, I joined another local club, ok but never felt a part of it . Went to Stover on a recommendation and have never looked back , members are amongst the friendliest I live known . If you want to play competitively or socially your are encouraged to do either . The course is not the longest but by no means an easy track. Plot your way is the key. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area and join if you live here!

The golf course is a challenging mix of carefully sculptured holes through the English Countryside. The standout holes for me are the 4th, 8th, 12th and 16th. Every one of those tee shots could easily fit into a top championship course. Peter Alliss wrote in his book that the 16th hole proudly features in his all time 18 holes of golf.
Having been a member of a few golf clubs locally I can easily say thIs is the most friendly and open membership I have come across. High and low handicappers happily mix in and the club integrates very well across all membership sections. I would happily recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy a stunning one off golf experience or even more so to those looking at full time membership of a club.

A very decent course with staff that appear to be unhappy and members who obviously don't like visitors. I found that what was meant to be a special treat was spoilt by members and staff being generally grumpy. For instance, it was a steaming hot day and I was in all the correct golf gear but my shirt had come out and was tapped on the shoulder by a member to tuck it back in. Every hole we played they stared back at us to see it was still in place. They seemed to very much approve of a young lady with her shorts so far up her backside that she left little to the imagination. I could go on about other instances but this pomposity is what prevents many youngsters taking up golf.

Easy to get to off the A38. Course does not have any steep hills to negotiate so just right if you are of ‘senior years’.
Conditions of fairways are well looked after.
Nice views from the club house.

Played here on a society day and were well cared for.Weather sunny but cold. Even after a lot of bad weather recently every hole was in play and no excuse for bad golf. Afterwards we were presented with one of the best carvery dinners you could wish for. Top marks to the catering staff
