Worth exploring

This is a very nice loch which may not be as picturesque as others but it has some nice little cafes and parkups along the windy banks of the loch. It wasn't too busy either, so definitely worth a little wander/drive around.

Its a nice loch, although not as dramatic or scenic as some you can visit in Scotland.

There's some places to pull over in the car for free.

Loch vechnar is HUGE

Never been here before but when I got here it was worth the visit the loch is huge and saw people paddle boarding and there is a small car park which is free and signage to see where you are and where other places are around to maybe go to visit

Afternoon by the loch

We had been to loch venachar some years before and had booked to have lunch on this visit. The setting is superb and the weather gave us two seasons in 30 minutes!
Our food was good and service was excellent - our only issue was that the near proximity of the tables other than that everything was fantastic.

Excellen5 food / service/ location/ decor...we had lunch. Would book there next trip. Dog friendly as well / although we left ours with relatives :). R3commend highly.

Definitely worth a visit, here, right in the heart of the Trossachs. You can walk near and just hang out on its shores.

Great restaurant in beautiful setting. Great place to stop for lunch or dinner, just be aware if they have a wedding on it may be closed to the public.

Beautiful Loch. Not that large but very picturesque. A few car parks on the side, and quite popular with visitors and campers.

Eat at Venachar Lochside nearby!

Nice and quiet

Great day out. Lots of parking spots and a fairly quiet loch with not that many people around or cars although it was a school day for the scot kids and we were up from England. Lovely BBQ spots too and a very calm loch
