Very pleasant stay. Staff couldn't do enough for you and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Had a lovely menu in the restaurant too.

Don’t stay here there’s no facilities no bar no restaurant as stated when booked
Booked a room here as it had a restaurant and bar, on arrival waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive at reception, once checked in we were told the restaurant was closed as they had run out of food, so we had to get a taxi into Barnard castle try find somewhere to eat, got a taxi back and Redwell inn was all locked up it was only 7.30, I texted the number left in our room and was told they closed at 7 and that we had been informed this was a lie, we were not told when booking or checking in, spent the rest of the night in our room if we could have drove we would have left, room was dirty stains on carpets and bed, there was a terrace with dirty cigarette ends in ashtray. Didn’t sleep as there was a constant buzzing I presume an extractor fan had been left on or boiler running. Dressing table very wobbly had once been screwed to the wall but had come away
Toilet seat was loose rusty dirty toilet brush shabby bathroom
Owner was unresponsive

We visited here today for a Sunday lunch after spending a weekend in the Lake District and it was fantastic the staff are so accommodating and helpful, could not recommend this place enough.

On a weekend break called in just for lunch really pleased with the chicken mayo sandwich and salad and rustic chips wow what a plate full definitely worth a visit. The staff were very good and friendly.

We had a weekend away here it was fantastic the staff,the food were great the place was friendly and clean they were also very helpful.It was a great place for a visit close to town and the falls the town has great shops and places to eat and drink.I cannot wait to go back there Hayley and staff so good thank you so much .

Really nice Xmas lunch. Lovely family atmosphere and the food and service were fantastic. Great value for money also. Hopefully be on again next year as definitely do another Xmas feed here

I spent two nights in a very reasonably priced, single room here. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good, with varied options. The full English was good. Lovely helpful staff.

Gorgeous food.Excellent service..very attentive but not overpowering.

Just had one night stay in Redwell Inn for myself and my family(2 rooms).Excellent stay,both rooms clean and very adequate.Breakfast was really nice and Evening meal was brilliant at a competitive price.Would recommend and would certainly stay here again.All staff were cheerful,friendly and helpful.

Popped in today for lunch food was excellent , staff very friendly and welcoming , Although until May 17th we were sitting outside on a visit to the ladies I could see how clean and inviting the inside was . Well done to the New owners doing a great job .
