Curator in museum told us about the walled garden. It was a pleasant walk through a wooded area on paths to get to it. Well worth a visit. Manicured flower,fruit and vegetables gardens laid out. The gardeners were working away showing such interest. The cafe was bright with indoor and outdoor seating. No entrance fee to this garden or museum.

A spectacular garden. So beautiful. We took my granny around it and she just loved it. The flowers were in bloom and it was just gorgeous.😍

Well tended, the arches look great and it is lovely for a walk. Interesting plants and a basic cafe if you're hungry. Short walk to Castle Park and the museum.

I didn't go inside, but I visited the gardens and it was a nice walk, there were other people too some with dogs, but there is enough space for everyone. Special mention to the Walled Garden which must be absolutely stunning in late spring/summer when it is warmer and there are flowers, herbs and fruits.

Beautiful place to walk around or even take a picture, obviously a lot of hard work has gone into making this place look the part and it so does!

Lovely area for a summer walk. Great little cafe. Grassed play area for kids or just to sit in and enjoy the sun. Good variety of plants and shrubs in the walled garden.

Beautiful walk while waiting for my daughter in the pool. A lot of time and care is clearly been put into this garden. It is so colourful and peaceful. The sound of the water fountain just topped the day off. We where glad to see a cafe there too for refreshments.

So peaceful the variety of flowers and shrubs was fantastic. It is a beautiful walk around it and if you go in from the castle side it’s a lovely walk through a wooded area.

Passing through the gate brought us into a colourful tranquil area. There were many flower beds carpeted in many coloured blooms. A fountain, tinkl\ing quietly at the Garden's centre added a soothing touch. A place of calming refuge from the outside world's many pressures and worries.

The gardens are in full bloom now and an added bonus is a sculpture exhibition dotted through the gardens. There’s also a good little cafe and an area where you can sit and have a picnic if you chose. Very pleasant place to wader for an hour or so.
