We went there with my family for a discovery of the roquefort cellars , the reception team made the difference, special mention to Lucie for her professionalism and her beginning of internship and to Anne Marie for the beautiful visit and their valuable advice

Interesting visit, I missed the explanations of the different Roquefort Bee, Templars, Baragnodes. Their manufactures etc....
Lack of precision in explanations. It's more of a company overview than an in-depth tour. I'll go back, but I'll visit another cellar.

Interesting visit with small tasting at the key. Our Guide despite this being his first year to tell us the story of the birth of Roquefort and its making perfectly well and our exchanges with the master refiner were very informative.

Everything was perfect, visit time, clear and concise explanations, and tasting. Be careful, even if it is well written everywhere, it crackles! Don’t forget the long sleeves, but it was super interesting!

Very nice visit with Bastien as Guide, duration neither too long nor too short with alternating explanations, videos... Finally, a tasting 👍

Very interesting visit. Plan a sweater, it is very cool in the cellars!
Small negative point, the prohibitive Award of cheese at the shop, where one might hope to pay less than elsewhere. Visiting the surrounding markets you will find the same cheese that comes from the cellars, but much cheaper.

Very interesting visit (June 18) well led by an efficient and very pleasant guide.
End of visit = passing through the shop (nice little tasting) before reaching the exit.
We bought a few products including the Roquefort puree which was quite disappointing, really very very bitter taste!
While chips without any particular flavor do not reveal the expected taste of the Roquefort that they are supposed to contain.

Very interesting visit to the Roquefort society cellars. Smiling, friendly and efficient guide We learn lots of details even if we know this cheese well.
We were still able to see real Roquefort bread in mid-June ;=) impressive.
Little advice: call for visit times (so as not to wait 45 minutes because the tour leaves when a large group is present;
some hoteliers provide a discount voucher for the paid visit;
try it with Banyuls or Rivesaltes amber.

Brilliant visit! Cheese lovers, we couldn't be in the region without coming to visit the cellars of Roquefort Société. We learned a lot about the history, manufacturing and tasting of this cheese with its many characters thanks to the passion of Virginie, our guide during this special moment since there were only 2 of us for the visit. Many thanks again for this great memory 💖

when is the best time to visit these caves, when there is the real cheese in process?

I think it would be best to tour the caves during their cheese making season. We toured during September and it was interesting, but it would have been far nicer to see the whole process. We viewed a very informative film, and saw the caves where the cheeses were ripening. The tour was about an hour at scheduled times.

From what I remember, the tour is about 1 hour and run on a hourly basis. Probably less when it is not high season. The lady would did the tour when I went only spoke French as well for your information. Let me know if you have more questions.
