Amazing discovery This place is a real gem While visiting from Brisbane we stumbled across this cafe after fighting off mosquitoes at the water falls and what a place to find. Staff are truly amazing and the cheeses we sampled( an purchased) where great my wife was in shopping heaven with jam, tea and other things to tempt her The lady and guy who served are really loved working there and it really did show They where busy but still made us feel wanted and valued as customer. A shame other places in the area couldn’t learn from them We will return next holiday

Being in hospitality myself its great to find a place with staff who are on the ball, polite and help make a stop an experience rather than just a place!
Loved the range of local produce, good coffee and the scones were perfect!

We found this beautiful cafe by following a very plain sign from the main road we needed a place to stop and a cup of tea. This place was amazing!
A super cute, friendly cafe in the middle of nowhere, that catered for gluten free and a milk intolerance despite being a dairy farm!
The staff were amazing, quick and friendly. The cake portions where huge and so so good,
There is also a really good little shops selling cheeses, pickles etc which were well made, reasonably priced and looked great.
This place needs a bigger sign from the main road - it is a real hidden gem!

Fresh fresh fresh!! Ploughman 's, cheese platter, milk shakes and scones were so fresh as though straight from the animals this morning. Awesome food!! Highly recommend! Flies not welcomed

The day we visited there was a little drizzle and it was too wet to sit outside, we managed to get a seat inside after waiting a short while, however, we did need to clear the table ourselves, even after waiting 5-10 minutes.
We ordered a Devonshire tea with scones each, which due to a tour bus/group which took priority and we had a 45 minute wait. When they arrived the scones where hard and the dark berry jam was in my opinion not the best.
There was only a few tables inside which due to the space available had been placed very close to each other and as such the room was loud and i would struggle to hear my partner.
There was a selection of cheese and other small good available including the ice cream, however, there was a distinct lack of pricing available to see/read.
Overall a nice cup of tea, but the loud atmosphere and crowded room didn’t make for the best visit.

Hi there,
thank you so much for taking the time to rate our cafe. Sorry to hear that on the day the atmosphere wasn't enjoyable. The cafe is quite cosy and when we have groups coming through it can get loud. Usually we love to host our groups outside, so everyone gets to enjoy the beautiful rolling green hills and Bartle Frere.
I will let the cafe manager know about the lack of pricing on the products and we can certainly fix that.
Glad you enjoy your cup of tea and I would love for you to come and visit again, perhaps on a sunny day, so you can fully enjoy the experience.

Great family atmosphere. We tried the cheese platter, Devonshire tea, savoury crepe, cakes and ice cream. All fantastic but the scones are a stand out! Kids loved the place and staff were very friendly and accommodating having two young children at the table. This is the perfect place to stop along the waterfall circuit and tops the day off.

Off the highway - well sign posted - short 5 minute drive in. - loads of parking - great range of cheese - yoghurts - ice cream all locally produced - you can take it home if you love it and you probably will - nice staff - fair pricing

Delicious cheese, fabulous chutney and great service. I had the cheese platter, well why wouldn't you and hubby had the steak pie - both were delicious 😋 we had a lovely spiced cherry ice-cream to top it off.

The staff were short with me. I simply asked for advice in cheese selection and about their farming practice. I was met with short sarcastic remarks. I wasn't offered any sort of platter or tasting as per Mungalli's advertising. I felt unwelcome. I was hoping to meet daisy and I put on my best daisy dress for the occasion. The cheese I purchased was delicious and melted well.

I apologize if the customer service was a little lacking on the day you visited, we did let our manger know about it to ensure the staff are welcoming, helpful and accommodating.
Daisy unfortunately was grazing on another paddock that day, as a good paddock rotation is the key for them to get all the necessary nutrients :)

The cheese platter for two is a very elaborate and well presented item. Don’t make our mistake of not leaving enough time to enjoy it on site. Thanks to the staff for changing our order to a take away set.
