This was just STUNNING to see a Carousel in such great condition. Takes you back in time to a wonderful era. The music and 40 horses going around at speed and up and down is just dreamlike. The children and mums LOVED it! A pity it is hidden away a bit under a small top tent down in the park. So many people do not know its there. Thanks Rotary Club for keeping this TREASURE alive.

The carousel was not operating, but we were able to wander through and around the carousel. Although dated, it is maintained? And/or managed by a local Rotary club. The history on the walls was amazing.
The lady we spoke to was lovely and shared memories with my friend who grew up in Semaphore.
We had just had an amazing visit to the library on Semaphore road with its amazing ceiling and walls from the original building.
We were treated to being taken upstairs by Chris the Vice President of the local historical society, where we took in a birds eye view of the preserved building. It was quite an ethereal experience for my friend and I. She had grown up in Semaphore and remembered the building as a picture theatre.
Brilliantly preserved, beautiful building!! Well done Semaphore!!

This ride is nostalgic. Only $5 per ride and I am pretty sure the money goes to charity. We took both of our granddaughters and they thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂.

Loved this as a child, my child loved it too. Often busy and worth a place in the queue. Colourful and enjoyable for the family.

A carousel will always be a carousel no matter its size. It is not called a merry-go-round for nothing. The immense feeling of enjoyment and happiness it gives to children doesn’t have the value of dollars and cents. It is simply priceless.

What a beautiful Carousel. My 5yo and I went on it twice. It goes fast too which was fun. So beautiful with bright colours and so much history just loved looking at all the old pictures on the walls from back in the Old Days. Definitely worth a try if your touring the area. Friendly helpful Volenteers too. All proceeds to a fantastic cause. Give it a spin

Located near Semaphore Jetty, this is a rare attraction for all children, 2 to 92 !!! It is not open all the time so I suggest you do some research to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended !

It's not open until the warmer weather comes. Sorry I can't help you any more than that. Summer time it's open and well worth a visit.
