On board Felicity, expect the unexpected, experiences beyond expectations, superlatives in sceneries, coral, sea grass & whale-shark & more. Spiels before actual encounters (not guaranteed but much appreciated) Food & services of the team - be it in scorching midday sun or pissin-rain (briefly on 1 in 7 days) I felt well looked after from the team, ground up & I'm a septuagenerarian w a wheelchair too. Once in a lifetime experience before sunset. Thanks to U all, staffs, fellow traveller's (a special breed, I tink) I'm blessed.

J'ai apprécié de voyager sur 4 îles. Le transport était bien organisé entre les îles. j'ai bien manger et j'ai trouver utile la présence du guide qui etait tres competent et efficace.. 7 jours bien doses. Aucun problème avec les cartes de crédit ou de débit. Les directives prec3dent le voyage ont été très très utiles. Les hôtels sont vieillot mais ça ne m'a causé aucun problème. Je ne voulait pas être occupé à outrance et j'ai eu le temps de loisir que je voulait.le snorkeling et le parasailing sont à refaire.

Attentive and personalized snorkeling tour that is close to Male gets you in the sea and enjoying marine life quickly.
Easy access to three close by reefs and able to see amazing fish for 2.5 hours. Onky four people in our group and personalized attention.

Travel to learn and appreciate local culture.
It was great to learn about the meaning of Male, how Islam came to the country and to see the local fish and vegetable market. The stop at the ancient mosque was inspiring.

A great introduction to the Maldives!

Our tour with Archie was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the city of Male as well as the Maldivian history and culture in general. We spent several hours on a walking tour of Male and the highlights for us were the fish market and the produce market. Archie was able to answer all of our questions about Male from past to present as well as our questions about the greater Maldive Islands. What a culturally facinating country. This was a great way to learn about the country with a local guide prior to our stay at one of the resort islands.

We highly recommend Secret Paradise and, of course, Archie!!

The best way to visit the Maldives

We were welcomed at Malè’s airport and just after a few hours onboard MV Felicity we felt as being part of the family.
We were taken care of, by our tour guide, UB, in every single part of the tour, which was the Conservation Cruise onboard MV Felicity.
The coral nurseries and whale shark briefing were instructive and helpful in making us understand the impact of tourism and tsunami on Maldives marine environment.
We shared our experience along the cruise with a lot of friends in Italy wishing that they could also have the chance to take the same Conservation Cruise.
The whole Secret Paradise team has been the most kind and very professional.

Phenomenal sights and water life with a thoughtful and engaging guide

If I could give this 10 stars I would—I ended up with the same guide I had on my first tour with Secret Paradise Maldives, Shark, and once again he did not disappoint.

The weather was choppy on the original tour date that I'd booked, so I coordinated directly with Ruth at the main office to switch my tour to the following day. The weather in the Maldives can shift pretty rapidly, so for anyone considering this tour I'd recommend booking it on a day where if rebooking to a later date would work out if the weather makes going out on the boat impossible.

The sandbar was beautiful, and I got some great pictures there, as well as seeing some fish and birds. We were there for an hour, so it was also a nice moment to relax under the sun, especially as it had been quite cloudy on Hulhumale (where I was staying) earlier in the week and I hadn't had a whole lot of beach time.

The real highlight, though, was the snorkeling. I've had difficulty on previous travels with snorkeling, because something about the snorkel mask always made me claustrophobic and panicky, and I couldn't do it, so I'd just duck dive instead and look at the water life for a few seconds at a time before coming up for air again.

On this trip, though, Shark led me through some breathing exercises beforehand; then we practiced snorkeling in the shallow water at the sand bar before then heading to the snorkeling site, and it worked! It was like nothing I've had the chance to experience—so many varieties of fish, "the whole gang from Finding Nemo was there," I joked with some friends later; we even saw some sharks. It felt like swimming in an aquarium, and Shark would point out things of note as we swam past them.

There were too many clouds at the horizon for a proper sunset, so we didn't get to see much more than the sun rays peeking out from behind the clouds as the sun went down. But this was the best day of my trip to Hulhumale; Shark was the best guide, and Secret Paradise Maldives in particular were professional, quick to respond to messages and very pleasant to work with. Thank you all for such a great trip!

A great day with a great guide

Such a phenomenal tour with Shark (who also ended up being my guide on my snorkeling and sunset tour later the same week). Whenever I travel to new places, I like to take cultural tours to get a sense of the place; Shark was an amazing guide in this way, and shared so much knowledge about Maldivian history, geography, culture and politics as we made our way through Male.

He was also one of the best guides I've had over the course of my travels—punctual (early, actually, as I was 10 minutes early and he'd arrived 20 minutes before that), friendly, open with sharing his own life and story in the Maldives, and really open to shifting course over the morning based on things I wanted to see in or questions I had about the various sites we visited in Male.

I can't recommend this tour highly enough, and my greatest thanks to Shark for a phenomenal introduction to Male and the Maldives!
