E' un grave errore visitare questo luogo senza accedere all'interno del tempio. Infatti del teatro e del foro restano poco più che ruderi appena distinguibili: interessanti ma in giro per l'Italia ci sono siti archeologici meglio conservati. All'interno invece si può ammirare una statua romana bronzea di rara bellezza. Si tratta della Vittoria Alata, sopravvissuta fino a noi praticamente integra perché accuratamente nascosta in un intercapedine del tempio, assieme ad altri tesori, per salvarla dai saccheggi dei barbari nonché dalle distruzioni dei santuari pagani ad opera dei primi cristiani. Il nascondiglio ha funzionato, il tesoro è sopravvissuto all'inciviltà ed oggi l'abilità artigiana e artistica degli antichi non può non sbalordire chiunque abbia un briciolo di cultura. Assolutamente da vedere.
Inoltre gli interni del tempio offrono quello che resta di alcune sale finemente affrescate e decorate del santuario repubblicano, nonché altre opere minori.
Attenzione che la visita non è libera ma è necessario prenotare l'ingresso. Noi lo abbiamo prenotato alle 10:30 ma il primo accesso disponibile era alle 13. La visita è accompagnata (non guidata), viene però proiettato un video sulla storia del tempio. Il giro completo a noi ha preso 40 minuti.
Inoltre gli interni del tempio offrono quello che resta di alcune sale finemente affrescate e decorate del santuario repubblicano, nonché altre opere minori.

Noi l'abbiamo trovato un bellissimo angolo di Brescia.
A dire il vero abbiamo visitato solo la parte esterna e quella ci è piaciuta molto.
In tutta onestà non so quindi dirvi se possa valere la pena il biglietto per entrare: dalle vetrate un po' a specchio si fatica a capire.
La parte del teatro è forse meno suggestiva, ma insomma non siamo mica al Colosseo 😃

We travelled to Brescia from Bardolino on Lake Garda for a day trip as it was only an 1 hr 30 minute journey and we didn't really know what to expect. When we followed the street signs to The Capitolium of Brixia we were blown away by the size and grandure of it. We weren't expecting the temple and theatre to be so intact and there was only 1 school group and another couple there so we had plenty of room and time to enjoy it - a truly hidden gem. The signs were great giving you information about the site in English and Italian but found the wikipedia page helpful too.
We went to the Museo di Santa Giulia too and wanted to go inside the museum of the Capolitum of Brixia (as the ticket includes both museums) but despite paying for this, since you had to reserve a time - probably due to covid which was a little strange since most regulations (almost all) have been lifted by May 2023 but we understand their caution - we decided to skip it as the only time available was at 4pm (after getting there fairly early in the morning). We got to see the ampitheatre and the temple though so we were happy enough with that.

Attrazione bella da vedere, nonostante ne abbia visto tante, a Roma in particolare, rimane una bella attrazione; la si può vedere gratuitamente, insieme al teatro Romano, mentre si percorre la Via dei Musei dal Centro verso il Museo di Santa Giulia.

Che bello! Questo tempio e la piazza del foro fanno parte del corridoio Unesco che collega varie parti della città, partendo dal Museo Santa Giulia.
Molto bello e imponente quello che rimane del Tempio Capitolino.

Its a museum and one needs to buy a ticket to go inside - it helps with the upkeep and the price is not unreasonable - It is a pleasant 30-minute walk from the railway station with lots of sights (shopping/ cafes) along the way

It is possible by walking, if you wan't to walk from the city center (which is closer) take the metro from Stazione to Vittoria and walk the last part.
