Achtung aktuell ist kein Zugang zu den Wasserfällen, denn dort wird aktuell ein Wasserkraftwerk gebaut. Also hinfahren brauch man wirklich nicht. Wir sind dann von dort aus zum Varnes fort und Varnes fyr gefahren.

Super schöner Wasserfall. Super schön zum Anschauen und ein toller Platz zum Schwimmen am Fuße des Falles.
Bauer war sehr freundlich und erlaubte Parken auf seinem Grundstück am Zugang zum Weg zum Fall.
Nicht schwer zu finden, Fälle sind genau da , wo sie auf der TripAdvisor Karte eingezeichnet sind.

You have to see it but look out, there is a mistake on the map. Waterfalls are on the opposite side of a road. Just fallow the water when You get to the town

Leuke waterval om even langs te lopen, ongeveer half uurtje vanaf waar de weg stopt, (ik heb geparkeerd op een erf, wel even gevraagd)
Alleen Lokatie klopt niet helemaal op trip advisor, de Lokatie die app aangeeft kom je op erf uit met echt heel mooi uitzicht over het dal, en kan je de waterval aan de andere kant van het dal zien liggen;-)
Wij kwamen vanuit zuiden, in dorpje is aan linkerkant van de weg staat klein houten bordje met rafossen. Zal foto erbij doen met juiste plek.
Alleen Lokatie klopt niet helemaal op trip advisor, de Lokatie die app aangeeft kom je op erf uit met echt heel mooi uitzicht over het dal, en kan je de waterval aan de andere kant van het dal zien liggen;-)

Flott skue. Det er 3 fossefall og se. Vi parkerte på nærmeste gård. Gikk greit å finne fram. Er skiltet fra veien.

Personally I preffer the view from Lydingen. Cross the bridge where you see a sign "Lydingen/Egenes", turn right and drive carefully, as this road is running through peoples gardens...

worth persevering though. Look out for a tiny wooden sign at the turn off from the main road, then folllow the road that you think is going to end up in someone's garden. You can stop where the buildings end then walk across the field, through a gate and up the rocky path to approach the falls. They're not huge, but very pretty.

It was a little difficult to find, but well worth the visit.It is located about seven kms north of the town of Kvinesdal and I used google maps to direct me to the location. There is a small dirt road that takes you directly to the waterfall but it is easy to miss. When I was there, it had a little sign on the left side of the road that said "rafoss".
At the end of this road there is no carpark as such, so I parked beside a barn and walked to the water. I did not swim there, but it looks like a great location for a swim. There a smooth rocks along the waterside where you could either fish or swim. Further up is the waterfall.
Visitors need to be careful because there is no fence line as safety, so watch your step. It can also be a little slippery up there.
The location is perfect for pictures with the powerful waterfall spraying water as it falls down the rocks.
Next time I will take some food and have a picnic there.

The waterfall Rafossen in Kvinesdal is really a hidden gem. Visit during spring or days following heavy rain. Allow about an hour just looking at it, thats what I use to do. Maybe bring some coffee as well. This is the definite barrier for the salmon that enters the river Kvina to spawn. So if you'r lucky you will see the wild salmon trying the impossible; to jump the waterfall.
The local community does not care much about it, in fact few locals know about it at all. And it is under threat to be dammed to be used for hydroelectric power so if you want see it you shouldn't wait too long.
