This is a beautiful stately home. A Family home which lives in the present and cherishes the past. The moment the transport arrives one feels a sense of time travel taking one back to another era.
The rarity of the visits adds to the intrigue and excitement.
The Tour guides are so informative, the family home feels both welcoming and awe inspiring. There can be no disappointment.
This is a truly wonderful visit.

What a fabulous experience, well looked after by both guides with great knowledge about the Abbey. We were collected by bus to be taken to the house, how amazing the size of the riding school and the delightful houses etc on route. So much to take in and understand as we walked from room to room. This has to be a tour as a must see, maybe one day the subterranean rooms will be open or even one of the many tunnels. If you are thinking of booking on the tour , do it, it is highly recommended.

Had a very informative and relaxed tour of the opulent state rooms. Both guides very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended

Was not sure what to expect but was blown away, it was really good to get a good feel of the rooms and you saw such a lot. What took it up was the talks as we moved around, I hate those headsets when walking around a property but it was made into a special trip. Thank you

Thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys historic houses and their often unique contents. The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke clearly explaining the history of the house the family and the wider family connections to other stately homes.

I couldn’t wait for this experience - the state rooms are only open for 3 weeks during the year. This visit did not disappoint! Everything was exceptionally well organised - both of the tour guides were superb and were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The tour of the rooms was just incredible! I purchased the book as well, for further information about Welbeck, which is very interesting. The whole experience was wonderful and superb value for money - I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is interested in our local history.

A very well organised tour from start to finish. The tour started the moment we got on the bus to the Abbey with interesting information regarding the village and gardens.
Once inside the Abbey we were given relevant information about each room and time to look around and ask further questions. Really liked the fact that the numbers on the tour are kept small, 15 people maximum. Being relatively local to the Abbey it was fascinating to discover the links of our own parks, mines etc to the Cavendish family.
The two hours passed really quickly. I would thoroughly recommend the tour if you have the opportunity. Be aware the tours do not operate all year round.

Our tour of Welbeck Abbey State Rooms exceeded our expectations. I had no real knowledge of this hidden gem... It's a well-kept secret, and tours are only available twice a year. Very professionally organised, our guides Barry and Joe shared their knowledge and injected humour and interest as we were shepherded from room to room. Good value tour, very enjoyable. No photos allowed.

The tour of the House was a fabulous experience. The short coach ride made us feel very special. The guides were friendly, and they were very knowledgeable. The tour went at just the right pace, and was the right length for us , too. The house is a real hidden gem.

We have visited the Harley Gallery, Portll look and collection , cafe and farmshop a number of times before. How lucky are we to have such great facilities nearby and to have such an amazing collection that’s free to visit.
Today was our first visit to the Abbey…. We were both blown away by the experience.. the estate and house are a fascinating place to visit but the trip was really made by our guides Maggie and Joe who were brilliant at conveying the history of the house with enthusiasm and humour. Would highly recommend

there is no charge for admission at all, some really good art here, lovely place..
